cheryl: mark?o, look, most of the economic data we've seen recently has been surprising to the upside, and that's -- it seems like the economy's been defying gravity, you know? there's been a lot of recession calls that haven't actually transpiredded, so i started thinking over the weekend, i'm, like, what could possibly be propping the economy up right now that wasn't really priced in, that wasn't baked into the cake. and the thing i came up with was the employee retention tax credit that recently has been going out to small business owners if they kept their people on payroll during the pandemic. so this is in addition to the ppp loans. this is just a straight up tax credit. and that could amount to one, two, three months worth of payroll for some of these small businesses which is -- that's a lot. and that's enough for a lot of these small businesses to continue to kick that layoff can down the road and and to continue to kind of go at it, you know, full throttle for as long as they possibly can
