game day ideas made easy. >> cheryl: welcome back. i'm cheryl jennings. we've been talking about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning. four people were found dead inside their home in the town near fresno. the family was using a gas powered generator after their electricity was cut off. officials say a lack of ventilation allowed the carbon monoxide to flow through the house. a 27-year-old woman survived and police say it may be because she went outside during the night for a cigarette. here back with us, is eric stephenson. director of technical services with bay area quality management district. i'm thinking about what happened to that family. it's cold. a lot of people are suffering and lots of people will be running out of electricity. so what are some of the ways we can protect ourselves? >> good question. anything that utilizes fuel has the potential to create carbon monoxide. if it's operating properly usually it isn't something we need to be concerned about. but common sense is the best mother doling. you don't want to put a generator and have

cheryl conner, abc 2 news. >>> a 25-year-old has been arrested and charged in a string of burglaries we told you about last night involving crimes in hartford, cecil and baltimore counties. michael was taken into police custody just after 7:00 last night. he is accused of robbing the exxon at the maryland house travel plaza back on november 9th. police believe he also committed several other armed robberies of convenience store and gas stations in the days that followed. he was arrested during a traffic stop after being identified by a tipster who saw surveillance pictures of him. >>> weather-wise, things nice and clear. we had great sunshine all day before a nice, early sunset this evening. you can see not a cloud in the sky except well offshore tonight. to that's looking good for us weather-wise. temperatures will be dropping tonight with winds letting up. it will be a frosty one overnight. we've got 41 at bwi and easton now. so the rest of the evening through the 30s we go, chilly with a light southwesterly breeze dying off. we'll talk more about how the weekend shapes up that our

here's cheryl jennings with daniel's story >> i do everything. >> you can jump?lve-year-old is not shy about showing his prosthetic leg. >> i not so good like my real leg, but it's good. >> he was fitted for the prosthetic after his leg was blown off by a landmine february 6, 2010. he had been playing with his brother and three sisters in the snow on a family outing in the golan heights. they didn't know he was in an unmarked land field. daniel was 11 at the time and his sister was 13. she was badly wounded by shrapnel. >> it was terrible expense and it is not -- it shouldn't happen to other children or men or ladies. >> i remember every detail from this day. >> still i lost my leg. then my sister, she's blind. >> i open my eyes and like nothing. >> it must have been so scary. >> yes. and i am hearing screams and like i didn't know what to do. to go, to stay? >> i remember she was always daniel, daniel, are you okay? are you okay? >> their little brother was eight at the time. he wasn't hurt, but was traumatized. >> landmines i want gone. >> you want them gone. >
