we continue to the "countdown to the closing bell" with cheryl casone. s, the dow almost at its hay, a couped points away from the intra-day high, several companies reported earnings, and, nicole? >> that's right, these are some that may seem less familiar, but, you know, ultimately, you know what i'm talking about. first, starting off with discovery communications, that is the parent of the discovery channel and also animal planet cable network. they came in with numbers posted higher revenue and profit, a winner year to date, but we are seeing here that the stock is slightly to the downside today, so that'll be one to watch. they came in with the first quarter results. one good thing, too, and despite the fact there's a down arrow for the the stock, there's an outlook that was good there. they do forecast annual revenue above estimates. i wanted to look here at consume loss with radio stations. first quarter revenue, well, not good news, they got some from ad revenue, but not good news. two names, obviously, in the media world and advertising revenue is

. ♪ ♪ cheryl: i'm cheryl casone. it is the last hour of trading, and stocks rising higher today. s&p reaching a new intraday high, 1598.60. right now we've got quite a nice day. of course, we're going to take you through the last hour with the s&p. then there's the dow. take a look at the dow right now, again triple-digit rise, 128 points right now. that is an almost 1% change for the dow. it's a gain, at least, 14,829. and the nasdaq, we're now at 2000 levels for the nasdaq, 3342, more than a gain of 1%. november 2000, a long time ago, but we're back there right now. now, all of these numbers and this rally today following strong u.s. jobs data, and, of course, the european central bank's decision to cut interest rates. all that happening before the markets opened. big movers today that we're watching for you, some stocks to watch, you've got linkedin. that stock is up about 2.25% right now. and can take a look at facebook, up 28.86, that is $1.43 raise. that's more than a 5% gain for facebook. we're going to have much more on those two stocks including linkedin's earnings comin
