cheryl jennings is off.sergio quintana is live at the oakland police department with new information. >> reporter: this story we've been following closely since christmastime in part because of the way charles butler, jr. was murdered. also because of the fact that he gave the gift of life by donating his organs. police have made an arrest. they are not sharing many details about what the person's role may have been in the murder. police again do tell me they have made an arrest this weekend. charles butler, jr. was murdered just before christmas, shortly after his death, his family told us he had a brief interaction with people he did not know at their neighborhood store they followed and opened fire on him. his vehicle careened into parked cars along the side of his street and burst into flames yards from his home. several of his organs were successfully trance ed to recipients on christmas day. -- butler had just completed a merchant seaman's train program and looking forward to his -- training program an
