i am cheryl jennings. >> i am christian. we are over the anti-quaterback -- antioch bridge where traffic moving smoothly. the man was threatening to jump and he was pulled to safety start at 8:00 this morning. our reporter joins us from the bridge which connects antioch. >> officers spent a couple of hours talking to this man trying to get him to focus on what life is worth living for and grabbed him finally and pulled him to safety. he dangled off the side of the bridge at times while officers from several different agencies looked on and tried to talk to him. they brought in teams from the coast guard, the sheriff and police departments. there were reports the man had a weapon. the officers who took him into custody did not find anything on him. they decided to shut down traffic in both directions so people would not be traveling through the unsafe situation. the man at times crossed over from one side of the bridge to the other. the c.h.p. says it knows this was an inconvenience and officers hope motorists understood ther
