cheryl jennings. >> i'm dan ashley. abc 7 news reporter david louie is live in campbell. police work was the key here. >> reporter: it really was, dan and ama. for five days campbell police have been stopping every beige or silver honda they spotted and they saw one in a parking lot yesterday and at the wheel, the man they were looking for, who matched the police sketch. he's under arrest now, putting this neighborhood finally at ease. the surveillance video from a neighbor's house let police know what kind of car the suspect was driving. >> there's a good chance he didn't know anything about it. and that worked for our advantage that he wasn't trying to elude us or hide the vehicle. >> reporter: however the video never captured the suspect. fortunately, the young victim helped police create a sketch, and it turned out to be a remarkable match to the man police saw in this self storage facility parking lot, a short distance from where the crime occurred. 25-year-old roberto felipe-velasco is a transient, living in his 1988 vil silver honda. campbell police credit the comm

abc news. >> we begin with a major food recall and thanks for joining us i'm cheryl jennings and bay area customers chain they learned the government is recalling 7,000 pounds of meat where the company is headquartered with the story. vic? >> dan, our calls to the company were not returned, but the usda says the problem was first discovered when inspectors went to the company's warehouse, distribution warehouse and it was during what's called the surveillance review. now the recall is large and it was surprising to a lot of its loyal customers. >> it's a shock. yeah. i never thought of it not passing usda. >> that's concerning. i've gotten food poisoning from other places so i definitely want to see that regulated. >> reporter: the sda the 15,000 pounds were produced and packaged without federal inspection. the agency says the company used another facility's mark of inspection on many of the am items even though inspector his not approved them. the recalled items were produced from may of last year to tuesday of last week. the company lqnn incorporate side based in southern california. it operates

abc 7 news. >>> it is sentencing day for the high-endes kwort accused of killing a google executive with a lethal dose of heroin. >> good evening. i'm dan ashley. >> i'm cheryl jen and was sentenced to six years in jail and she pleaded guilty to killing forrest hayes which is now being described as an accidental heroin overdose. chris nguyen joins us from the courthouse in santa cruz with more. >> cheryl and dan the prosecutor called this a sad and tragic case and one that has gained national attention and although he disagrees with the actual sentence handed down by the judge he's hopeful that all parties involved can finally move on with their lives. >> at the courthouse in santa cruz alix tichelman walked in emotionless as she learned her fate. the 27-year-old former prostitute pled guilty to felony involuntary manslaughter as well as other charges in the heroin overdose death of 51-year-old google executive and father of five forrest hayes. >> this is a manslaughter case. there was no intent to kill and there was no conscious disregard for human life. >> the incident happened on november 22, 2013 aboard hayes' yacht which was docked in the santa cruz harbor.
