so one of my hopes on the chesapeake is that what we end up with our strong state plans. the whole idea of the chesapeake is a unique state that is going to submit their plan for how they intend to make that balance between developed areas and burr areas, green agriculture and urban and suburban areas. and then we as epa have really only one job which is to ensure those plans are realistic, that they don't count on huge reductions in one sector at the expense of another and that then they are implemented. that is a real job and that is my hope. now the big controversy has come over what happens at the state doesn't submit a plan or submits one that is woefully inadequate? we will do what that but i have to say as we work with the states i think what is happening is that people love -- especially in maryland and virginia. maryland has taken a huge step forward in the past couple of years and we are working really hard with her chin and a couple of other states with a lot of help from the u.s. department of agriculture because they have funds. >> good morning. is great to b

chesapeake beach. i want to show you some wind gusts. westminster gusting to 45. we gusted to 40 in bowie 43 arnold. windy, windy day. that can bring down obviously branches and trees in places as well along with the wind gusts we saw over 50 and some of the thunderstorms last night had a tremendous amount of wind in the last 24 hours across the state. skies clear now radar crystal clear. mid 50s in baltimore, easton, dover chillier air marching in. oakland already down to 37. going to be a chilly night. current winds around 15 or so but we've seen much higher gusts than that. take a look at some of the wind gusts, gusting to 26 in the last hour. the earlier map through the day we're still gusting to 25 out there. so it is a windy weather scenario. satellite radar trend. very, very clear after big storms of last night. there's not much to tell you about tonight. that's a nice change we're glad to say that. and as we zoom out a little bit here, you can kind of see there is a 12-hour loop. you can see the last remnants of that storm whipping their way off the atlant
