chesapeake bay and now police say her son is the prime suspect. he is behind bars serving 10 years for robbing a bank in delaware. >>> and in baltimore city, police say an officer shot and killed a man in southwest baltimore. he was waving two large kitchen knives when it happened. it took place wednesday morning off edmonton. police say the 52-year-old man refused orders to drop the knives and then ended up being shot at least once in the stomach. he later died from his injuries and the officer was not injured. >>> the man who died after breaking into a house in edgewood tuesday has been identified as the next door neighbor. the police say the woman who lives in the home ran to get her husband when she says joseph breckenridge was inside the house. her husband came back there was a scuffle. breckenridge was restrained but became unresponsive and later died at a hospital. neighbors say he has history of breaking into that particular house so this was not new. >> we thought he was obsessed with my friend justin because he does it every time he thinks the. chesapeake medical center. no word this morning on their condition. >> the numbers are out. it turns out the baltimore grand prix may not have been as grand as the cityped. a new economic survey showed the grand prix fell short of expectations. some vendors claim they are still owed hundreds of thousands of dollars from racing development. lowell melzer has the story. >> depending on who you ask, the baltimore grand prix was both the best and possibly the worst thing to happen to the city. according to promoters it was a huge success for baltimore. an economic impact released friday said the race generated $47 million. still far short of the expected $70 million. about $2 million in tax revenue went to the state and about $1.7 million to the city. the report also says $160,000 people attended with about 75,000 of those from outside the metro area and 41% were from out of state. that's where the good news ends. >> we are the only company that could pull this off. >> kathy vogel's company provided pavement markings, barricaded signs, and traffic control for the baltimore grand prix. she showed us all of the unpaid bills sent to baltimore racing develop
