and parts of chester county.ou're watching fox 29 news and we're of course streaming life as well but we are keeping tabs on what's happening in the atmosphere and on ultimate doppler. so you can see a nasty line of showers and thunderstorms moving toward the philadelphia area. this line is going to be approaching the philadelphia area over the next 30 minutes or so. so we're dry for now. but it's hot it's humid. so we have the ingredients we have lift in the atmosphere with a front moving toward our area. but you can see allentown you're looking at heavy rainfall, lancaster county, severe thunderstorm warning for you. also, new castle county under a severe thunderstorm warning. due to that very heavy rainfall, but that area that we're watching right now in chester county that has that tornado warning with it so once again back to the shear still following the blue and also that light turquoise color through parts of chester county that's showing you the rotation that we're following in the atmosphere and that sh

tornado warning in effect once again for central chester county into eastern chester county, and thats until 5:45 this afternoon. we have 3,150,000 people in the path of this and lightening covers the entire county of chester county and moving into a delaware county a and philadelphia county and even extending the heavy rain, and, damaging wind potential into montgomery county and you can see rotation right here as well, to the south so we will keep an eye on that cell as well. so typically we will see heavy rain, we will see thunderstorm form, up draft and down draft create ago this severe weather. it is a towering storm develops then you typically see hail and next thing you would see war a rotation of a then are storm. that is what we have this afternoon. indicated by doppler radar at national weather service tornado warning is in effect for potential tornado in central chester county moving east at 35 miles an hour. right now heading toward tredyffrin, along the main line, of philadelphia, route 202, 76, getting in highly populated area of the schuylkill expressway, heading toward

this will be for chester county. we have been tracking a line of severe weather moving into the area. now we are seeing the potential for rotation in this severe thunderstorm. this one moving through chester county, tornado warning until 5:45. for this area we are talking about wind damage but that is going to be the main thing, until 5:45. chester county under a tornado warning. this storm was right over downingtown or seven miles west of west chester. this is moving east at about 35 miles an hour. if we zoom into this storm here you can see right over 76 very heavy rain from this storm, west and east bradford west goshen you are in this warned area as well. this is the section where we are watching for a potential tornado. this is radar indicated. right over downingtown, this is the area we are watching and the area where we do have a tornado as well and east bradford west goshen westtown birmingham. this storm is traveling mainly to the east right around 35 40 miles an hour. if you are in this area in chester coun

as we go in tighter in new castle county and chester county it's enough energy to pop up into chester county. coatsville, west wilmington we're seeing light moving nuisance situation. there's the wide view nothing coming out of the south. although we'll see other bands of precip later in the morning. we look at sky 6, a lot of clouds out there every now and then you see a bright spot. we're looking at mainly cloudy skies as we roll through the day. it's jacket weather winds light as 9 miles per hour. a noticeable breeze out of the east-northeast. between now and noon you'll have pattern of light bands of precipitation come up from the south and try to push toward philadelphia and for the most part fall apart. the rest of the afternoon more of the same. going up to 7:00 p.m., a lot of cloud cover and hits of precipitation coming through the south. as we get later into the day and early evening hours it's possible that we see breaks in the clouds and maybe late day sunshine. best chance of that would be up north. 60 degrees by 8:00 a.m. 64 by 11:00. the high is 67 at 2:00 p.m. we'll be

"action news" reporter erin o'hearn is live at the big board. she's got the overnight details. good morning erin. >> reporter: good morning, tam. chopper six gives you the best perspective on how intense this fire was. flames erupted around 9 o'clock in west chester which is mostly officers but the red cross has told us that there are four apartments and it is assisting one person. now, initially fire officials responded with two alarms but the blaze spread quickly and then that was up to three alarms. now, let's take a look at some ground video. as you can see, there were multiple crews on the ground at the corner of market street and north church street. this is a stubborn fire and it affected multiple buildings. the scene was a block away from the chester county courthouse. it took almost three hours to get it under control. the word from officials was that at 11:50 firefighters finally got a handle on the blaze. fortunately there were no injuries. again, that is largely attributed to the fact that this building is mostly offices and the fire

is a cold front from the west and setting off storms from double can live radar entering western chester county and western montgomery county a thunderstorm warning that means that severe weather is reported. that line extends south into lancaster county and also under severe thunderstorm warning until 6:00 this evening, it we take a look at the radar, you can see the bright colors the intense rainfall moving east of the 222 and adams town and loyola and birdsboro and plowville expecting this at 5:03, and springville at 5:07, we have the capability with double scan live radar showing you the rainfall rates. between adams town and loyola, about 2 inches of rain per hour, it's releasing a tremendous amount of rain as this line is pulling through along with that very vivid lightning, as we look at the storms here as we go through the late evening hours very dangerous lightning with them and scattered wind gusts from 60 to 70 miles per hour is possible especially where you see the warnings right now even isolated hail from an inch and a half in diameter and the possibility of a tornado and t

"eyewitness news" reporter nicole brewer is live in chester with the very latest, now with the benefit of the light of the day good morning. >> reporter: good morning, ukee and quarter. we are here at west second street in chester which you can see is opened to traffic after that two car crash that killed two people overnight. we are told that this happened shortly after 1:00 o'clock this morning. both of those victims unfortunately, were dead on arrival. vehicles involved in this crash, very badly damage. the car parts scattered all across the roadway. investigators were on the scene and tow truck came around 4:00 this morning to try to clean things up, the road was opened for a short time around 4:30 or 5:00 until chester fire commissioner actually rolled over debris in his own vehicle and called his crews back out to hose down the entire stretch of the west second street. at this hour there is no official cause but this is a highly travel stretch of roadway where traffic passes pretty quickly as you can imagine and there is a slight curvature to the road just where that accident too

that's where this all seemed to start before it moved to chester and montgomery. this picture is from trexlertown. george spencer was on his way to king of prussia a little while ago when he spotted the storm coming to him. he tweeted out this picture of that storm as he headed on 76 the dark clouds looming. he joins us now over the telephone to tell us what conditions are like where you are. george? >> we were headed westbound on 76 when we took some of those pictures i tweeted out. what we noticed in several different spots were these unusual cloud formations clouds basically moving closer to the ground than we typically see even with a strong thunderstorm and these unusual patterns. once we got more in the area of the king of prussia mall we had an intense, intense period of heavy rain. in this particular spot we did not see any of the hail that has been associated with this storm in other areas. it was really intense rain and those unusual cloud formations that we witnessed really in several different spots of this large thunderstorm. even as this storm moves
