that's lit up through sections of berks county, chester county, also, into montgomery county.o that's what we're watching right now. a lot of very heavy rainfall, gusty winds and also lightning. so we'll put a new tracker on this activity through sections of berks county and also into montgomery and also chester counties right now as we look at the potential for rotation out of this activity. so once again, if you're in the path of this particular area, outlined in red, that is where we have the potential for rotation and also for some tornadic activity. moving through sections of berks county still but also it could clip northern chester county and also sections of northern and upper montgomery county. so that tornado warning has been extended until 6:15 for those particular areas as we watch ultimate doppler for that toe potential rotation. so we're looking at very heavy rainfall moving through sections of berks county right now, and we'll kind of zoom in and show you what's happening as far as the heavy rainfall rates. earlier we were looking at some of that heavy rainfall

going up wider in lancaster there are showers that may wind upcoming in in chester county and montgomery county this afternoon. they are few and far between and slow movers. temperatures are warm, 80 in philadelphia, 76 in wilmington and 82 in allentown un78 in cape may and as we look at temperatures rolling through the rest of the afternoon it is going to be warm. 85 by 2:00 and by 3:00 and 4:00 we are on or about 86 that is our high and 84 by 6:00 and down into the low 70s by 10:00. we are a little bit on the humid side as you look at dew points, philadelphia at 60 and allentown not bad. and go south into wilmington and millville. dew point temperatures getting up above 60 indicates slightly humid air and the 70s in cape may and dover it's sticky away from the beach. cool drinks down south. the chance of showers and drenching showers and thunderstorms in the forecast tomorrow. i'll have more on that with future tracker 6 coming up in the full forecast. >>> now, to a tragic story developing out of new york city where a female police officer is dead after she was shot ambush style in the

watch out for localized flooding and ponding this is sneaking its way in chester county. head up in extreme southwest chester county and gaining some strength we could see gusty wind, lightening with that cell and even small hail moving slowly off to thee/ northe at five to 10 miles an hour, so these cells have all been moving slowly so we are racking up in the rainfall department. check this out across cumberland county we have pick up 2 inches of rainfall and some areas in just 22 minutes, others in just 45 minutes, that is why we have a localized flood threat south of the city but i will keep my eye on the radar over next several hours and do have that backup plan and have umbrella just in case scout out where you would head if you do see one of these cells, in a way in center city philadelphia which i don't necessarily think it it is likely but possible as we head in the next couple hours as we head out to the fire works. we will talk more about the storm threat and what is in store as we head in the rest of the week as we head back to work in just a couple minutes. >

crash in chester county, 30 bypass past reeseville road. bridgeport a crash at 4th street prospect avenue by the locker room self storage. >>> a mother and daughter have been stabbed and we learned the mother has died. it happened in south philadelphia. police are searching for the attacker who they believe is the ex-boyfriend. katherine scott received an update from police live on the 2700 block of daily terrace. what do you know? >> reporter: we did speak to police, we're hearing a mother and daughter were stabbed overnight. initially the mother when police arrived was talking to them giving them information and telling them what happened. we're hearing that she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. this happened in south philadelphia around 2:00 a.m., we're hearing the suspect is 25 years old, an ex-boyfriend who was arrested before, we don't know why, police remain on the scene as they gather evidence inside and outside the home. police say the ex-boyfriend upset about a recent break up stabbed the mother and daughter. his ex-girlf

and times in lancaster, there is a concentration of some heavier downpours in parts of eastern chester countyfting over route 30 as well as the schuylkill expressway it's a very busy road this time of year, that extends down to route 1 into delaware county and southern chester county and northern newcastle county and along 95 and there is that area that is just sitting and kind of refiring itself here. it's almost called back building as the storms fire over the same locations middletown and smyrna. really heavy rain and turn around and find an alternate route. it doesn't take much water to lift your car and move it away. as we look at temperatures it's 70s area wide because of the cloud cover and because of an easterly wind and the on and off rain showers as well as downpours. satellite and radar it extends all the way back to our area and the ohio valley all of this has to progress through the region here. it's time before we can shut everything off. for tonight it's muggy and rainy at times, some of it is very heavy, that water content. the water vapor in the air that is humidity and that

we're starting to see this rain filling in once again in chester county after dealing with light rainlier in the evening, spreading into delaware county. and soon that will start to reach out in towards philadelphia county as we head into about the next 30 minutes, we're dealing with this summer nor easter as area of low pressure off to our south and west you can see all of this moisture in the dc and baltimore area, in association with the storm system had will continue to move eastbound. it will tap into the atlantic moisture and wrapping around through the overnight period, main rainfall will come overnight and early tomorrow morning. seeings these heavy areas of rain especially in the city and points southward we'll see some of the heaviest rain along the coast and in portions of delaware as has been the trend over last couple hours into the 5:00 hour, still dealing with the rain coming down, 7:00 hour, still have rainfall around and things start to let up as we head into the second half of the morning tomorrow. we will start to dry things out as we head into tomorrow afternoon. o

our region, just a few weeks ago we spoke to dozens of homeowners near pipe lon construction in chester county that complained about well contamination due to the drilling, and showed us water coming into their homes but was clearly discolored. then in april we reported on three natural gas leaks from sunoco's mariner east one pipeline, smaller one that runs parallel to the construction of the mariner east two and latest leak we reported on spewed hundreds of gallons of methane and propane into the ground in berks county. these were just some of the incidents environmentalist pointed to when they convinced the judge today to halt, acd drilling on sunoco's pipeline statewide. >> sunoco's favorite line is that this is coming, no matter what you do bit. that is never going to be the case. it has always been the case when people stand up, to to protect themselves and protect their families, things need to get done get done. >> reporter: now, they halted construction on sunoco's pipeline statewide is only temporary until a hearing on august 7th. recap of sunoco when they issued a statement on the i
