so as long as we have these warnings in effect for montgomery county 2:30 a.m. chestery until 1:45 you can expect the heavy rain to be an issue. we have had reports of flash flooding already in chester county as well as some hail. all right. right now the heaviest rain is right along 76 moving towards the pottstown phoenixville area into montgomery county. so they're about to get it. bucks county will be right after that. one heavy of pocket rain crossing the blue route into delaware county and into the city. a lot of lightning associated with all of this rain that you see. and heaviest amounts have been off towards our west under some of those storms estimated rainfall at least off of doppler radar showing a swath of one to 2-inches around lancaster county into northwestern chester county. check out harrisburg. reports up to four to possibly 5-inches of rain estimated off doppler radar. that had storms through much of the late afternoon. hail history even showing where we had hail report elverson in chester county report of at least penny sized hail coming off doppler

is philadelphia, it is wilmington, it is trenton, it is most of our area, including bucks, montgomery, chester, delaware counties, in pennsylvania, gloucester, camden, burlington, ocean and mercer. this is in new jersey. this is because high temperatures will rise to the mid 90s, but with the humidity will feel like 100 plus through the afternoon. this is considered dangerous heat. we also have severe weather threat across almost the whole area. this is for strong storms, damaging winds, hail, and of course very heavy rain. that will will be later tonight as a line of severe storms sweeps through. we'll show up for you on your fox future cast. no rain, just a lot of sunshine and hazy hot sunshine at that. by 5:00 p.m., few thunderstorms start to pop up. start to see warnings go off. through the evening we'll see the line of scattered thunderstorms mover through. we clear out overnight. look at the temperatures at this hour, 77 degrees in philadelphia, 76 in wilmington, 75 in millville. so close to 80. and with the dew points in the 70s, it feels very, very stickiment we'll show you the heat in

you can see by 6:00 o'clock north and west watching some activity moving into chester county upper montgomeryucks county. by 7:00 toward eight, 9:00 o'clock around i-95, the philadelphia area with the gusty storms, heavy rainfall and downpours and as we move toward 10, midnight, most of the activity starts to diminish as we move into the overnight and early tomorrow morning perhaps a leftover shower. but cloud cover will be diminishing throughout the day and also the temperatures will be more comfortable than today. so for tonight upper 60s low 70s across the area. scattered storms around. keep an to the sky as we move ahead to tomorrow, 84 degrees. a leftover morning shower. some clouds. but clearing. and, yes, we get break from the heat. so tomorrow almost 10 degrees colder if you will than today. you'll note the difference by this time tomorrow afternoon. as we move no your friday, beautiful. we'll give that a 10 forecast by the numbers on a scale of one to 10. 85 for the high. 87 moving into saturday. but we heat up. it turns more sticky by sunday. temperatures near 90. also, some scatter

looks like some of this has popped into chester county and southern montgomery county, so we're watchingof sprinkles and showers this morning. thanks to my twitter

now the focus is to the north and west west of philadelphia through chester counsel even into northern and central parts of montgomery county backing into the lehigh valley in berks county but all this is moving toward the south southeast. you can see some of that heavy rain almost looping around in southern parts of chester county where doppler radar estimates are between two and 3-inches of rain already with more expected on top of that. these storms moving south southeast at 20 miles an hour. they will be in pike creek by 11:13. in wilmington by 11:21. in bear, delaware, by 11:34 and middletown, delaware, by 11:46. very heavy rain some lightning and gusty winds associated with these storms. here's some of the heaviest rain we've been watching right here along route 1 heading down toward upper oxford and london grove and heading toward hokessin delaware and of course newark and also we're looking at wilmington seeing some of this heavy rain as well. we do have a flash flood warning in effect for chester county until 12:45 tomorrow morning and that does extend as far east as places like paoli pike and also malvern.

but if you come in closer, there are showers that have formed in parts of chester county and they are creeping into montgomery county, and i suppose areas of bucks may see some of this too. some of these are looking more robust, and hopefully this is all we get. but it's a sign of things to come and later on we'll get thunderstorms forming to the north and west and everybody is going to be in and around those i think as we go through the afternoon and evening, south of baltimore a thunderstorm pushing into the chesapeake bay, checking outside, sky 6, we are at the shore umbrellas are up against the sun and relief is there in the water. you get out of the water it's not so good. look at that red flag too, you have concerns there with possible currents and the possible surf, more of a concern tomorrow as arthur gets closer. the dew point is up to 70 and that moons pretty humid, winds southwest at 8 miles per hour, temperatures across the region, everybody is in the 80s, everybody in the 80s, 88 at the atlantic city airport and 88 in wildwood. the heat index feels like the low 90s in philadelphia, wilmington, 92

chester county. thunder and lightning diminished. it's shifting south and east right now. stormtracker 6 live double can showing we're seeing rain parts of montgomery delaware county, but really focus is in chester county and it's moving into newcastle county right now. you see that line of the red? that's the heavy downpours approaching newark right now between rally route 1 and 2. only one lightning strike associated with this. really problem with this is the heavy rain and it's slowly shifting to the south and east. it's losing some of its punch as it does and we've seen two to three inches of rain nay short period of time in central chester county and that flash flood warnings continues until 12:45 in the morning for central and chester county and we do have a flash flood wash now in effect for newcastle county with threat of heavy downpours there could be flash flooding. if you live near some smaller streams and creeks you really do need to watch those waterways. over about the next hour. and temperaturewise, philadelphia is comfortable. 75 down from high of 87 which is average high this time year normal for a change, allentown 71. trenton 71.

you can see along the i-95 corridor, north and west sections of montgomery, bucks county chester countyng toward sections of south jersey just take it easy. drink a lot of water, stay hydrated. look at the future feels like temperature by 11:00 o'clock tomorrow morning we'll be approaching feels like temperatures in the upper 90s along i-95. by 1:00 in the afternoon it could feel like 104 degrees in philadelphia as well as wilmington. it could feel like 103 in allentown and pottstown. so take it easy outdoors tomorrow. as we look at ultimate doppler it's dry but take look at this cluster of showers and storms off to the west. it will slowly head in our direction tomorrow afternoon. likely after about 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon. watching north and west in a line of showers and storms will move our way. gusty winds could be problem downpours and we can't even rule out the possibility of some small hail. so as we watch how things play out, you can see quiet tomorrow morning. but by 2:00 in the afternoon watching that line of showers and thunderstorms as it make its way toward our area d

precipitation around philadelphia this is very light stuff in through parts of chester county and kind of skirting the northern edge of montgomery county. as we get get into the afternoon in particular, it looks like things get better. stepping outside, we have sky 6 right now we are looking at mainly cloudy skies over the airport, got a little bit of break in the rain here, of course we had thunderstorms last night as expected, some of them were gusty. a lot of them dumped a lot of rain. the dewpoint up at 68. it's fairly high it still feels humid. but the winds are going to turn a little bit out of the north and as we go through the day, the human will drop. we have scattered showers and thunderstorms coming in, by noon, most of the area should be seeing and end to the rain with the exception of the areas right down by the shore. quickly after that, though, it does clear out, the story of the afternoon is going to be drying but the return of sunshine, that's the way things look weather wise in terms of precipitation. temperature-wise, 75 by 8:00 a.m., 77 by 11, perhaps a little damp in parts of the region. 2:00 p.m., clouds an
