now lloyd's mother cheyenne is calling for an end to that violence. >> this is horrific.ep happening. this has to stop. they got to stop taking babies. >> lloyd's death has affected me deeply, but sadly he's not alone. nearly 2800 children were killed by guns in 2009. and more than 13,000 were injured by them. overall, about 10,000 people die in gun-related violence every year. we cannot bring these people back, but we can take lloyd's experience and the experiences of others and use them to take action. and it starts in our communities. that's why i've organized the occupy the corner movement for this month. by promoting peace and gun-free zones in our churches and street corners. we can take our communities back and feel safe again. as i go to do this eulogy, this young boy, this baby was killed in a crossfire of people with guns shooting at each other. what we're doing is losing a generation in the crossfire of playing politics when we all ought to put aside our differences to preserve the lives of our babies. children need to be able to grow up and not fear watching b
