under way for more than two dozen crew members after their ship broke in half and sank in the south china searday. cnn's lena wang has more on this developing story. >> reporter: a search is under way for more than two dozen crew members after their ship broke in half and sank in the south china sea on saturday. authorities say the ship sank around 183 miles southwest of hong kong after being caught near the center of typhoon chaba saturday. multiple helicopters were deployed to the scene and this dramatic footage shows the rescue operation from hong kong. it shows a crew member being pulled up on a rope into a helicopter from the sinking ship. three crew members were rescued but the fate of the remaining 27 people on board remains unclear. we've learned from authorities that there were three casualties from the shipwreck. three men aged 32 to 47 were receiving treatment at the north landau hospital and are in stable condition. typhoon chiba had made landfall 3:00 p.m. time saturday. the search and rescue center said it had coordinated seven rescue vessels as part of the operations as well as
