chinatown is a special community. it's a place that we need pay extra careful attention to and to direct additional resources to just as we have tried to do as part of our equity strategy. i certainly respect that this is a uniquely challenging time particularly for small merchants who thought that they were through the worst of it, six months ago. who have risked their entire life savings and the capital of their whole family in their small business. these merchants, their survival margin is tiny. we want to do everything that we can in order to make sure that we are supporting the economic recovery of all businesses in san francisco but particularly small businesses and particularly small businesses that are run by women and people of color. that said, how we plan this time in emergency transits it of our physical infrastructure determines how the mobility system will work in recovery. creating these transit lanes now, just extending their duration now will help us to make sure that as downtown san francisco and chi
