the second item i will introduce is resolution in support of ab1584 offered by david chiu to pry ties children and grandchildren of people displaced under redevelopment for city-funded affordable housing lotteries. in the 1960s and 1970s, thousands were displaced as redevelopment agencies carried out urban renewal initiatives. in san francisco this resulted in massive displacement of communities of color in neighborhoods like western addition and bayview. san francisco first established the certificate of preference in 2008 and amended in 2013 and 2015. certificate of preference program is administered by the mayor's office of house and community development. it prioritizes those for redevelopment and displacement for the infrastructure projects or city funded housing project. so many families have been displaced from the communities they helped create and certificate of preference was to allow families to remain in the neighborhoods they helped build. we need to strengthen the policies to allow displaced people to remain in communities. ab1584 will add increased preference that we ne

ab550 is our speed safety camera bill that san francisco is sponsoring that is authorized by david chiu and since we talked to you about this bill last there's been amendment to accommodate the stakeholder and political concerns this have come up as we've been negotiating the bill the past couple of months. currently it's a five-city, five-year pilot program. san francisco being one of the pilot cities. we would be limited to 33 systems which is a total of 66 cameras total and there would be robust equity and privacy protections in the ramin concluding a local stakeholder process to help create a system use policy of civil fines that start at $50 and payment plans and i do version programs for low income individuals and various privacy productions such as a ban on facial recognition and a report to the legislature on racial equity and financial impacts of this program at the end of the pilots so welcome really under the lessons learned before it would be more widespread than just the pilot and lastly there's also a requirement to either add traffic coming to the streets where cameras ar
