two big crashes and one involves a chp squad car. sal. >> reporter: that's right, westbound 92, the original crash happened at 6:00, where a big rig was stalled, was hit by a -- i'm sorry, a pickup was stalled, hit by the big rig on the right. the big rig was demolished, we may have lost our shot of the chopper so we'll go to the shot we have now of the san mateo bridge, which is a complete stop. so the big rig hit a pickup truck that was stopped, and caused a huge crash. now, eastbound as the chp and a firetruck had stopped on the bridge, someone apparently not paying attention ran into the back of a squad car, and that squad car was then pushed into a firetruck. eastbound 92, there was another multi-car crash that happened at about 6:45 this morning, so the bridge is a mess. we advise you to avoid the san mateo bridge. we need to you use the dumbarton bridge or bay bridge, as an alternative, and those other bridges are fine so just keep going, don't go on on the san mateo bridge. you see on the right there, the bridge at a standsti

chp en route now. bay bridge toll hasn't been bad this is the biggest back-up we've seen this morning towards the end of the parking lot for the cash paying lanes at this point. elsewhere, quiet, but look out for that thick fog across the golden gate bridge into san francisco. >>> hours from now suspended san francisco sheriff ross mirkarimi will make a critical court appearance as he battles to get his job back. amy hollyfield is live at san francisco's superior court with the latest. >> reporter: if he wins today, he would get his job back it is looking like it is not going to be a good day in court for ross mirkarimi. the judge issued a tentive ruling yesterday saying he will be denying his request. mirkarimi and his attorney want to argue in court today that mirkarimi should not be suspended. they say the official misconduct that happened, happened before he was sworn in as sheriff. so he shouldn't be punished as the sheriff. mirkarimi pleaded guilty last month to a domestic violence-related charge

we have worked with chp and bridge many times. we're very proud to be part of it. i tried to think of what i was going to say on my way over here. in my cultural and religious tradition, passover is coming up this week. there is a traditional story of elijah. many of you know the story, and no a different version of it. you can come up to maine later and say that is not the story. the story is that he lied to the profit will come back once every generation -- that elijah will come back once every generation as a poor man and see how he is treated. if he is treated well and society has reached that point, we all get redemption. it is a wonderful story to think that everyone you meet could be elijah and you need to treat them with respect. my thought was that if the elijah were here today, he would be very happy. maybe we would all get redemption. who knows? affordable housing is very difficult to do in california and getting more difficult. any group that is able to do housing like we will have here is my hero. we put in millions of dollars into projects, but the tr
