the chp is investigating a deadly freeway crash that happened in hercules. this happened about one o'clock this morning on westbound interstate 80 near the junction with state highway four. the chp says a honda accord rear ended a toyota yaris and both those cars spun out of control, leaving the honda disabled on the freeway. it was then hit by alexis, the driver of the honda died at the scene. three others suffered minor injuries. there is some good news tonight from shasta county. cal fire says the bonfire that started last month is now fully contained. the wildfire burned more than 8000 acres north of reading, even though the fire is contained. firefighters remain on alert. they will continue to patrol that area for several days to watch for any flare ups. a palo alto woman has been charged with arson for allegedly setting that fire. we're getting a new look now the destruction caused by the massive dixie fire, a resident of lassen county tweeted, these images showing dozens of burned out trees near juniper lake. the dixie fire has been burning since july
