i've worked real bombings and bomb threats, chris.one thing i've seen in the past is when you have threats, many times you'll get multiple locations called in. you know, we're using the term "abundance of caution" and i think after the marathon bombing, obviously we have to do that. but the statistical probability of somebody being able to get into four different locations, set four different explosive devices and get out, when you see that many threats of that many devices from a profiling standpoint, you have to start thinking more on the side of a hoax as opposed to a real type of threat. and, chris, when you look at the four targets that have been named, two admin buildings, a dorm and a classroom building where final exams are going on, again, you have to think the primary target is likely that classroom building. the other three may very well be red herrings that are thrown in to try to make the situation sounding more serious. a quick example, chris, in new york city when i was an fbi agent, we had a bank that kept getting bomb

good morning, i'm chris jansing.ashington lawmakers getting close to something that almost never happens these days, a deal. they're headed back to d.c. right now to hammer out the details, but this budget agreement may not be much to write home about. the "washington post" basically called the agreement a cease-fire. we don't know many of the details but it's no grand bargain. it doesn't deal with entitlements, the debt or tax reform and probably won't completely fix the sequester, but aides for senator patty murray and congressman paul ryan, the budget chairs working on the deal are at least determined to keep the government open and they think they can get the plan together for a vote later this week. one of the final sticking points in the deal could be unemployment. friday the unemployment rate dropped to 7%. that's the lowest since november of 2008. federal benefits expire at the end of the year and it's not clear if an extension would be included in any budget deal. >> i don't think we've reached that point wh

chris christie leading male voters by 12 points. how concerned should both parties be about these numbers? and let's just remember who won iowa during the republican primary before. that was rick santorum. >> right. i think between the two parties, i think the democrats should be a little bit more worried about the fact that they are trailing or at least hillary was trailing by nine percentage points in this poll. that i think is a reverberation from the republicans' continued attacks on obamacare in particular. but i think, you know, as we go forward, you know, the more we learn about chris christie, as he continues to be vetted over the next year and some change by the media, by democrats, the more those poll numbers will start to fluctuate. he will start to slip a little bit at different points. he will start to go up. i think for republicans, they're not surprised that hillary has such a commanding lead among women and they would continue to try to close that gap over time. but let's remember this is iowa and this is where once

you've hit on it with chris christie. i think it's going to be very difficult with what we know about the iowa republican caucus elector, social conservatives, a lot of tea party folks, those are not chris christie constituency. with numbers like those, 30% of self-identified republicans at this appoint say they have an unfavorable view of him. amy is right. he could go in there, sort of blanket the state. i will tell you those first impressions are difficult to change, particularly when you're as well-known in the state and nationally as chris christie. i wonder if those people don't look at those numbers and start thinking of a john mccain-like path to the nomination that doesn't include iowa caucuses. i'm not sure with that built-in level of favorability he looks like a strong candidate there. >> just to clean up something that overhangs from last week, what about the whole controversy denied by christie about his aldly punishing a democratic mayor and closing the bridge, gw bridge, amy? >> this is the double edged swo
