chris christie is running for reelection as governor of new jersey. erybody thinks it's the prelude to the presidential campaign in 2016 where he may enter as the prufront runner. the whole christie idea in 2013 was to run up a massive margin in blue state new jersey, win with these conservative groups. the campaign manager was bill steppian. it was the aftermath of that campaign that the whole bridge scandal broke. and steppian, one of the folks there, you know, david wildsteen who the fed said had master minded the plot, he said he told bill steppian contemporaneously about this plan as he was hatching it. steppian denies having foreknowledge of it. that was part of the testimony. chris christie then sort of, you know, cut loose bill steppian in early 2014. it looked like politically that was going to be the end of bill steppian as any kind of an operative. there he is now, he's part of the white house brain trust. >> were you surprised that he said he has not talked to the special counsel, they have not asked him about his time? >> how emphatic his
