martinez and brentwood have also fallen victim. we're live from walnut creek this morning with what fire investigators are say about the latest round. good morning. >> good morning to you, sam and chris. i did speak with the fire marsh marshal, and he tells us he believes this car fire and a second one this morning in lafayette are related to at least ten other car fires, including the string of car fires, that the same person or persons are setting these ablaze. the only difference is these cars are parked in the street, not the driveway. the one here in walnut creek happened around 2:06 this morning. the second one was reported about ten minutes later just unit three miles away. the fire marshal says there a common thread, but would that divulge what that is, does not want to taint the investigation. yesterday morning there are two car fires, one in brentwood, the second one about a mile and a half away. early wednesday morning there was another car fire at a home in walnut creek, and a second one in lafayette, sort of like this morning. in early monday morning you had this car fire outside a home in mar thin. in all incidents, no one was hurt, all the homes escaped serious damage.
