. >> host: is it hard not to take it seriously chris mike. >> guest: well, you know, but luckily for me i developed thick skin a long time ago and also in my past resume of life i was mse through that experience it was my resume of being valedictorian and graduating from stanford so i that was illustrated and i was also a classical violinist. i had to learn early on when i was 22 years old house suddenly people attack you and don't like you for no apparent reason. i remember going to my father insane dad, coming from minnesota which you understand the minnesota night thing, why do people not like me just because? he gave me advice that i think about every day. it's been helpful this last year which is you try to accommodate as many people as possible and you keep trying with those but in the end, if they don't decide to come to your side you have to let it go. that advice has been paramount to my life in the last year. i don't expect to please everyone with what i did or what this book but i do know that i'm going to empower thousands of others who want to learn more about this issue
