thanks for joining us this saturday morning i'm chris nguyen. we begin with fire danger this weekend. this grass fire in this county burned 160 acres of grass north of vaccaville. breaking out yesterday morning. crews had it under control around 1:30. no one was hurt but it could be a sign of what's to come. let's check in with lisa who is here with a preview of the forecast. >> yes, we are getting a offshore flow tomorrow. but looking at temperatures right now they are cool in the north bay with 40s in santa rosa, 50s in fremont. it's 54 in san mateo. the winds have the on shore component. upper elevation winds up in the upper 60s right now. we are looking at winds kicking up tonight into the day tomorrow. and then through monday. and that will allow for north and east bay winds to gust, perhaps in excess of 50 miles an hour. bringing the relative humidity down to as low as 5%. once again, we are in the situation we were last week with the high fire danger. 10:00 will be in the 60s about 67 in sam ramon by 2:00 in the afternoon upper 70s. san r

vicky nguyen: how do you weigh the decision between warning too many people and not warning enough people? chrisy: well, given our experiences here in sonoma county, our community has very clearly indicated at this point they're okay with being over warned. vicky: chris godley took over in march as the interim emergency manager for sonoma county. we spoke with godley at the emergency operations center, the command post last october where county officials decided against sending a wireless emergency alert to residents as the tubbs fire raced through santa rosa. four days after the fire started, it was here that we first asked christopher helgren, the previous emergency manager, the question so many residents had asked us, why didn't the county send out a mass cell phone alert? male: we never got any kind of call or alert. male: we woke them up. male: our daughter actually woke us up. christopher helgren: i apologize for anyone that didn't get a notice, and we did the best we could with our information. if i send a message out to 500,000 people simultaneously, what's going to happen with that--tho
