>> yeah, you're -- i'm looking up the nose of chris wallace, by the way. >> hi, chris. >> i was goinggine. >> so chris, tell us what the reaction has been inside the beltway to the president's jobs speech last night. >> well, i don't think a tremendous amount of surprise, you know. if a fan of stimulus, this is stimulus 2 so you think it was pretty good and probably even a little bigger than you'd been led to believe. if you think that the government is not the answer and that, you know, the stimulus, whatever it accomplished over the last couple of years, it certainly didn't perform as advertised in keeping unemployment under 8%. you're thinking why are we going down this road again? so i'm not sure it changed a lot of minds. one of the interesting things, though, is that the republicans and i suspect it's because of the polls and the general revulsion with the performance of all of washington and the debt ceiling crisis, both the white house and the republicans aren't immediately rejecting each other. the president was at pains to say, look, this is a lot of republican ideas in here
