let's bring in chris wallace.le with drawing a line in the sand is the other side crosses the line, it forces your hand, and so i suppose to some extent, that is the -- is that the position that president obama finds himself in? >> well, that certainly is the dilemma he fines himself in right now. exactly in effect, one could say -- i don't necessarily mean it was a bluff but his bluff has been called. he said, it's a game-changer, a red line. he said that starting last summer, and now it appears from the israelys, the brian, the french, the u.s. intelligence, that there was the use of chemical weapons last month around damascus, and so what is the president going to do? there are two sides to the argument. some people in the administration are saying, look, we saw what happened in iraq. intelligence is not always perfect do we want to get involved in military action based on intil generals we're -- intelligence we're not certain of? on the other hand if you're going to make that kind of threat, which it was, you

chris wallace also had an exclusive interview with asa hutchinson, the school safety task force and talked to chris about the interviews. ure talked to asa hutchinson, heading up the task force, looking at school security and the school shield study. he is advocating armed guards, the study's armed guards at every school. there is growing centiment for that type of thing to happen. what did you ask him about? >> well, we talked about that. yeah, there is. in fact, the obama administration does include a schooling security component in its legislation. he says it is not nearly enough to really keep kids safe. the problem and the question is, whether or not that's going to solve a lot of other problems because if you harden schools, that means that these nuts, these tormented people will go to a shopping center or a movie theater as they have in the past. he basically said, you can't solve all the problems at once. newtown was a school shooting. we need to make schools safe. we need to do it incrementally. >> he wants to protect the students. but oppons will say, the last thing we need is mo

i'm joined by chris wallace, anchor of "fox news sunday." nning of course everybody on capitol hill was hesitant to point blame to figure out if someone had slipped through the cracks and whose fault it might be we're hearing a barrage of criticism from a number of big names on capitol hill who want to know how this could have been missed? >> more than pointing fingers or assigning blame. it is because we want to get better. martha: right. >> you can't say for 100% certainty we could have prevented bombing but we might have been able to. of course the fact that russia had alerted fbi, had alerted the cia about their concerns about the brother tamerlan. both agencies investigated and couldn't find anything. the system worked to the degree we found out he was leaving the country. janet napolitano head of homeland security, that the system pinged and there was an alert when he left the country and went to russia. gee, if the russians were talking about the ties to russian terrorism, going to russia would be seem to be a more of a red flag but th
