those professionals who he has put in to the highest levels of law enforcement, chris wray among them, know that it's not. they're doing their jobs. so i agree that the president says things that undermines the rule of law, that undermines democratic institutions. but those institutions are standing strong. law enforcement is standing strong, investigating potential crimes and seeing where that evidence takes them. the search warrant that was executed against michael cohen was perfectly lawful. he knew it. everyone involved knew it. now michael cohen is someone who has been pressured to tell the truth about what he knows about donald trump. so the reality is that this president is under scrutiny for so many different things, including his role as a businessman, his financial relationships around the world that may be compromising his work as president of the united states. it's a very serious set of allegations. no wonder he's feeling so much pressure as a result of that. >> can i jump in real quick? david, the only thing i would disagree with there is with respect to how the public i

indictment against some chinese hackers today, and that is why he was in front of the cameras with chris wrayom line is the mueller probe. and so rod rosenstein is in chargek, but the ethics probe is when matt whitaker was on the private world and various cable networks criticizing the mueller probe, that it was as a private citizen and it does not affect his role as acting attorney general and so in replacing jeff sessions, he does not have to recuse himself, but at the same time the potential successor, the nominated william barr, and the former attorney general under george w. bush is now criticized for a memo he wrote in june, and, matt, a memo he wrote criticizing the underpinnings of the mueller investigation and it is a lot of weight, and went to rosenstein, and the white house, and it is a flash point over the potential c confirmation. >> the two that ties them together is that the president has known that both of the people that he has tapped to oversee the mueller investigation have stated views mos ti hostile to the investigation matt whitaker and bob barr. so i am not surprised th

i want to introduce next chris wray, director of the fbi to make remarks, followed by jeff berman, ourm southern new york. stuart: okay. what you just heard there, from justice official rod rosenstein, with the leader of the fbi right behind him, we've got them cold, essentially, that's what rosenstein was saying, we got them cold, chinese spies. they know exactly who and they named two people, who is sitting at the keyboard, spying for commercial data out of america. a consistent, long-term process of stealing our commercial data. ashley: they were able to breach the computers of more than 45 entities, according to the indictment in 12 states, and variety of industries were hacked, aviation to space, to pharmaceutical technology. this is broad-based. stuart: across the board. liz: auto industry. news crossing now britain saying yes, chinese hacking shows china is in violation of that 2015 agreement not to do this. so this is a broad-based, global condemnation of china. also the navy suffered an opm type attack, 100,000 personnel of the u.s. navy were hacked by these chinese nationals.
