are you a follower of christ? because if you are not a follower of christ, you will fall under the heading you will be left behind. nobody wants to be left behind when the church is taken to heaven. and then i'd like to point out that the rapture's also a very spectacular event. now, when you read about prophecy, there are two parts of the lord's return to this earth. he comes, first of all, for his church and takes them to heaven. and then there's some time of tribulation on this earth. then he comes again at the end, with him, and that's when the battle of armageddon happens, and the earth comes to its conclusion. most of the time when you talk about spectacular, you're talking about the second advent. but here in the scripture, i'm reminded that the rapture itself will be pretty spectacularitself itself. the bible says there will be a shout, and there will be an angel, and there will be a trumpet. let me just talk about those three things for a moment. the sound of the lorco the greek word that is used to descr

your hope is in the resurrection of jesus christ, and the return of christ someday to take you to heaven. your reward is in heaven, your hope is in christ. and while we're fighting all of these cultural wars and doing our best to be good citizens, the one thing that keeps you from just throwing in the towel is to remember, as we used to sing when i was growing up, "this world is not my home, i am just a-passing through." and one of these days, it'll get resolved. in the meantime, we do the best we can to be good citizens. and my goal is always simple: provide as much time as possible for the preaching of the gospel, extend the time as long as you can, and get as many people to heaven as you can. one day, that door's going to close. but in the meantime, we ought to be motivated with all of our hearts to take as many people to heaven with us as we can. >> sheila: yeah, amen. talking about revival. now, i grew up in scotland, where they would have revival meetings or revival crusades. it almost sounds like an old-fashioned word today. how do you define revival, and do you see hope for reviv

listen again, "there is to those who are in christ jesus." christ is our savior because he paid an enormous price to save us from the eternal doom we deserve because we have all sinned. we accept his gift by putting our trust in him. and when we make that commitment, he accepts us as his very own. and that is what it means to be his church. that's what it means to be those he will exempt from the wrath to heaven with him. the time is coming, men and women, the time is coming and now looms on the horizon. when the tribulation arrives and god's people are taken into heaven, the door will be closed on those who have heard and rejected the gospel. god's grace is available to rescue you from whatever you've done. i have people say to me, "oh, dr. jeremiah, if you knew what i've done in my life." it does not make any difference what you've done. it doesn't make any difference from god. god's arms of grace are long, and reach out to all. you cannot sin away the grace of god. the bible says today is the day of salvation. now is the hour to accept him
