christie smith is live in san francisco. boy, they don'ts like these protesters. >> reporter: not at all. b.a.r.t. riders have been here before. it was mid july when protesters swarmed the civic center station. they were protesting a shooting. those same protesters say they are planning another action for early august, sort of a vague timeline of when but the group is no justice no b.a.r.t. it came together following the b.a.r.t. police shooting of what was said to be a knife-wielding man, 45-year-old charles hill. they say they still want justice and accountability. nearly 100 protesters disrupted evening service, b.a.r.t. had to temporarily suspend service at that station. it had a ripple effect. now with word of another action looming on its website b.a.r.t. is saying protesters may try to disrupt service as early as today in downtown san francisco, saying as always b.a.r.t.'s primary mission is to ensure your safety and keep our trains on time. b.a.r.t. may need to close some stations temporarily or make other service ad

so enter chris christie. earlier today, msnbc analyst jonathan alter lit up the political internet with this tweet. breaking, chris christie is conducting focus groups in preparation for a possible run for 2012. reporting later his groups were doing their own focus groups and made them seem semi-authorized by christie, adding it was just wishful thinking. what about paul ryan? as wisconsin congressman paul ryan comes to a final decision about running for president, several top national conservatives are encouraging him to join the race. ryan is expected to decide on the run in the next two weeks. if it's not chris christie, if it's not paul ryan, is there anyone, someone else out there on the right ready to run, ready to enter this race? now, we've seen more than a few polls showing the winning republican seems to be none of the above. but sure, it would be easier for the white house if rick perry or michele bachmann top the republican ticket, but there is so far no democratic primary in this election cycle.

christie smith live with details on his confession. good morning, christie. >> good morning." this story started out dramatic with a robbery, teen forced into a car at gunshot to drive away. then police said he resurfaced and was okay but refused to cooperate with their investigation. now this morning they are saying that that teen that admitted his involvement in the robbery of al's barber shot on west 18th street in antioch and he has been arrested. now the kid had done odd-jobs for sometime. hassan ford had said he was the victim of a kidnapping and robbery monday afternoon. that's when a man with a sawed off shotgun walked into the barber shop and robbed the owner who was alone at the time. he took money and a watch and keys to his suv. police say that's when ford walked in. he had been on an errand. the man ordered him to drive them away in the suv. a statewide amber alert was issued, then the teen apparently called family and friends to say he was released and okay. last night the teen was arrested and police say they served a search warrant on an antioch apartment and a

new jersey governor chris christie sugged it could be tens of billions of dollars in new jersey alone're joined by bertha coombs. some have said this could be one of the most costly hurricanes in this country ever? >> it's too early to put an estimate on. some analysts say it's costly but at this point it doesn't look like it will rank among the top ten hurricanes. obviously the biggest being katrina at over $100 billion. and hurricane andrew back in 1992 in florida at $45 billion. this one is in the range of $7 billion in losses and less than half of that actually ensured. remember, you have the issues you're seeing there with the water. flooding is covered under separate insurance as opposed to wind damage. if you're a homeowner you know this is a big distinction when there's a hurricane in particular that's what's covered by the other insurers. the biggest damage of course, is where the storm first made landfall down in the carolinas. the estimates right now are looking like about $1.5 billion there. again, these are early estimates. and then the big estimates appear on the northea
