christie aleto is monitoring the latest developments and satellite feeds coming into the newsroom. she is live in the satellite center with more. >> rick and monica, a sigh of relief for parents knowing the shooter was taken into custody. and the hard part is assessing the carnage of magnitude of what happened. they are confirm there had are multiple casualties and that the shooter appears to be a former student but the motive is unclear but all of this apparently unfolded as the high school was about to does purse students. >> the gunman opened fire at about 2:30 this afternoon. they confirm there had were fatalities but we don't know how many. now, at one point some of the 3,000 student body had been evacuated from stoneman douglas high and others were inside being told to stay quiet. those under lockdown were able to text their loved ones. it's unclear if the gunman was a student or his relationship to the school. a student spoke to abc news by motorcycleal katz was inside of the school and said the shooting lasted for at least four minutes, too many shots to count. >> shots fro

christie aleto explains why super bowl weekend is not just about getting a win but giving back. >> it's first road trip and only four of us. >> and now it's tradition every time the flock goes to see the eagles play in an away game they give back to underserved communities in the city the team is playing in. >> we enjoy serving the underserved in the community and that is an important element for the road trips. >> they have been to charlotte and new orleans and los angeles, helping at halfway homes and mentoring children and this time they go to a soup kitchen in minneapolis. >> we are putting together meals for the children that have hunger issues or homeless and packaging up several hundred meals shipped out to the local communities. >> go to the communities are we are enjoying ourselves and to be able to give something back and not just take from the communities we go to makes such a difference. >> and while the 2005 road trip to the super bowl did not end with a championship win they hope this year if anything they will see eagles fans are more than just a negative stereo type. >>

and now they try to make their way out of the city back home orto the next lets go to christie aleto live at 30th street station with the story of getting home this afternoon and this evening. >> reporter: hey there. the line is growing every half hour when 1:30 this was line and it was quadrupled. and this is the regional rail and extends literally all theple of blocks and on to market street. and this is going to wilmington and the airport. and pan to the right that is the line that goes to the paoli line. we walked this line and it literally wraps around the train station and dumps off on to jfk into the direction of 20th street. the problem here is while a lot of people say they had it easy getting into the station because it was very staggered. the problem now is everyone is trying to leave at the same time. now what we have seen just in like the last couple of minutes, and that there was a line trying to get into the septa station terminal. that thinned out a bit. and septa was doing a good job of keeping the crowds on the upper platforms to get down to the trains to make sure
