christina-taylor green, the youngest victim of that shooting in tucson last january, loved little league. her teammates loved her, too and now their making sure she's always with them on the diamond. here's chris connelly. >> reporter: in the canyon del oro little league, just northwest of tucson, arizona, this has long been known as field 1. these young ballplayers know that someone is missing -- their teammate, 9-year-old christina-taylor green. what's it like to come back out and play baseball? >> it feels good but without her, um, it's a little bit lonely. >> reporter: on this baseball diamond, christina-taylor green would make the long throw from third base and sing beyonce songs in the field. mae sinclair was the only other girl on the team. >> she would stand up to the boys, if they say, she's a girl, she's not allowed to play, and stuff, she showed those boys how to play baseball. >> reporter: supported by her

thank you very much. >> indeed. >>> christina loren has a look at the forecast. good morning. >> good morning, if you had an all white suit on and pulled out a white iphone, nothing sharper than that. nothing sharper. you have plenty of time to reach your destination. showers are coming through this morning. nothing heavy. very, very light in nature, but becoming more steady from san francisco toward oakland. if you are waking up in oakland, get ready for slick driving conditions especially if you have to get the little ones to school. we are not dealing with the showers all day long. by 9:00 a.m., the bulk of the moisture comes there. the weak front falls apart before you make it to the south bay. by 1:00 p.m., breaks of sunshine. we warm up to the mid to upper 60s for today. we are going warm up through tuesday, wednesday, thursday as high pressure builds into the area. temperature wise for today, 65 degrees in fremont. 65 in san jose. 67 in los gatos. the seven-day outlook shows you a really, really nice warm up. 78 degrees by thursday. mostly sunny conditions

let's talk to christina and see how the week is going to shape up. good morning. >> good morning to you. it's going to be a nice day. second half of the day, in particular. a lot of you haven't gone to sleep yet. when you wake up at noon or 1:00 p.m., you will have missed most of the shower activity. action pushing through oakland. enough to make the highways slick. take it easy. travel with caution. after the beautiful weekend, no one wants to start out monday with showers. it's not going to be a wash-out of a day. everything turns more spotty as you can see here to the north. these little showers push on for the second half of the day. subsiding by 3:00 p.m. that's good news. as you make your way home from work, mostly clear conditions over the bay area. here is what you can expect for temperatures. 64 in santa rosa. 64 degrees in redwood city. the seven dayout look shaping up like this. a roller coaster week in the weather department. by the end of the weekend, temperatures really start to climb, mid-70s. 71 degrees on saturday. 75 sunday. maybe w

we do want to check in with christina. i guess if you've got to get out and do something, today is the day. >> today is the day, tomorrow not so much the case. we've got rain on the way and it's actually a cold system, a cold blast moves into the bay area as of tonight. tomorrow our temperatures will struggle to reach the mid-50s in some cities, even the north bay where we've been notoriously warm the past couple of weeks. i think you too will struggle to reach maybe 56 degrees. so the rain arrives overnight. as we wake up tomorrow morning we are expecting widespread shower activity, enough to slow your commute so mike and i will guide you through that. right now temperatures are really cool out there. 50 in novato, 46 in san mateo so overall 3 to 5 degrees cooler this morning. you know when you adjust your thermostat in your house boy 1 or 2 degrees, it's a significant difference so you'll probably need the jacket this morning but later on you can take it off. 65 in concord, 63 oakland and 63 in santa cruz. that won't be

christina has the details. >> it is going to be so nice today. you will want to get outside if you have the day off. if you don't have the day off, getting to work this morning is easier. it's not as cold. no showers coming down. let me step out of the way to show an interesting set up. some people are going to get shower activity, especially up in the north bay. the system is to the north. throughout the morning hours, this continues to be the case. this afternoon, we are going to see a bit of a dig here from the trough of low pressure. that could create spotty showers in the north bay. we are looking toward that. overall, a mix of sun and clouds over the area. temperatures will be able to climb toward the 70s. by this weekend, mid-70s in some cities. this weekend, santa cruz, if you can get out there, it's lovely. tahoe is looking good. on the chilly side. bring your winter gear with you. 174 inches above 7,000 feet. this late in the season, really, really rare. you can still enjoy it at north star. that's what we are looking toward. temperatur

good morning, christina. >> good morning. the rain is done at least for the weekend in the north bay. we could see a few light showers sneak in. the south bay, peninsula and east bay we'll see a really, really nice weekend. let me show you the set up. we have interesting things happen out there. a few light showers with a storm track to the north in the north bay. today, a 30% chance. the chance turns over to a 15% chance in the peninsula. wherever you are waking up, it should be warmer for you. the storm system is pushing a few clouds into santa rosa. we are seeing few light showers push in as well. look where we are headed. it just gets better. take a look at where we are headed sunday. maybe a few showers on monday. that's when the ridge of high pressure that will keep us nice and warm will head off to the east and break down a bit. a few showers are possible in the north bay. the storm track will be able to come into the area a bit. what's to come for next week. possibly the 80s. let's get to work with mike inouye. >> goo

i think he was too scared to come to work today, christina. >>> i'm not too scared to come to work today. after all, it is going to be 100 degrees. april fools. 65 degrees in san francisco. very mild start. 57 degrees in oakland. and 58 degrees in hayward. where are we headed today? well, we got very close to the 90s yesterday. 88 degrees in los gatos. 87 in napa. and the east bay cities also hit the mid to upper 80s. we'll let you know if we broke any records yesterday. we think you'll enjoy the cooler weekend. let's get you to work now with mike inouye. >>> no joking about this, we have a first good look at the maze. this is a pleasant way to be onguard near the east bay side, but we have a sigalert in the city. one issue on the city streets, laura and christie have more on that, but an earlier truck fire is still blocking two lanes of southbound 101 up to cesar chavez. that was his day yesterday to observe all the work he's done for the workers in the area. but two lanes are closed coming out of the area. two right lanes are blocked for the time being. that's been going on for hours.

christina has a look at what to expect today. it came right on time. >> yeah, it's right on time. especially if you are someone who hasn't washed your car in a week, right on time for you in particular. things are looking good now. light scattered showers. no ponding or puddling taking place out there. we are expecting more moderate and heavy rainfall to come down. now, the area that's getting hit the hardest is in the south bay. good shower activity. it will continue then we'll see clearing by late afternoon and by tonight, it's out of here. temperatures drop toward freezing. let's get you to work on time at 5:00 a.m. with mike. >> yeah, i washed my car a couple days ago. i listened to the forecast and we know about the wind coming through the area. 580 will be an issue. 580 westbound coming through this area and heading toward pleasanton. camera shaking a good deal because of the wind. wind advisories for a number of bay area bridges. an accident reported. i'll show you where that is coming up. >> we have an update on a fire in berkeley that brought down power lines and damaged
