christina, what is going on?> we're getting lingering activity as we get to the closest point of the day. >> that snow level is really high, all weekend long, although we did accumulate pretty good numbers when it comes to snowfall. one two-to-two feet above 8,000 feet. that's pretty high. this morning, as we're getting that pre accept station at the coldest point of the day, i believe we'll see lake level flurries at the very least. i want to start, though, with a 72-hour rainfall totals. scotts valley, 7.16, 4.33 in windsor. accumulated over 2 1/2 inches in san jose. the good thing is, it didn't all come in at once. we did see localized flooding but nothing like the storm we saw in december. i want to show you what is happening at lake level. really look pretty good for snow to continue to fall as we head through the next couple of hours. you notice it's still not quite to 6300 feet. but i do believes it in the next couple hours temperatures will continue to drop. we'll see snow floweries down in the lake level

the san mateo bridge christina talked about low clouds maybe mist and drizzle. coming through the south bay she had to use windshield wipers. easy drive westbound on the flat section. can't make out the high-rise. we have a camera on the other side of the bay and can see the foster city drive come off the high-rise. lot of moisture in the air and not much of a back drop but the approach about half way across the span as far as visibility and that's plenty for drivers. let's look at the maps. that will change over the morning and we'll track it as the fog develops in parts. 92 the san mateo bridge dumb barton bridge and the south bay moving nicely. the north bay novato san rafael, mill valley 101 at speeds same thing for 37 a little bit of build both sides, 101 as well as out of vallejo interstate 80. traffic on 24 not a major concern, the caldecott moves smoothly toward lafayette and the walnut creek interchange. look at the slowdown there seems to be a stalled vehicle that turned into a crash scene right here west 580 around north flynn. most of our viewers and

. >> good morning, christina. we'll talk about over around the bay, first of all get you out there and show you how things are for the san mateo bridge. the low clouds and flog drift around like they did yesterday. we'll look over, problems on both sides of the san mateo bridge, on the peninsula side crash eastbound 92, connector to southbound 101. sounds like it's hampered by a crash on that connector in lanes, traffic looks like it's getting by but slowing on the scene and chp has yet to give us more detail as they arrive. tracking on the peninsula, slower drive westbound from the hayward side because the morning volume is increasing and hayward southbound 880 around 80 street a motorcycle crash is on the shoulder. this distraction will cause more slowing down out of san leandro. farther over to the right the orange low cloud for the tri valley, tip lar pattern livermore, dublin and in toward pliz anton. fog for discovery bay, brentwood or at least low clouds in the area. no major problems for the north bay but

christina, the proposal for next year arrives on capitol hill on monday. the headline in the hill obama's budget $74 billion above caps. what are the details that stood out for you with this budget and what's been the reaction from lawmakers so far? >> the reaction of president obama's budget is that he wants to repeal what is known as the sequester, which is a series of harsh spending cuts that law makers agreed to during a bruising debt ceiling fight in 2011. but with the economy showing signs of improving in recent months, as well as threats abroad from groups like the islamic state, president obama is making the case that this is a good time to increase spending after three years of deficit dropping. however, republicans don't think this is a good time to raise spending habits especially for domestic because they don't think the economy is quite at that point yet. >> so a little controversy there between republicans who maybe want more money for defense but still want to be fiscally conservative. let's move on in the house now to the repeal of the affo

maybe a little consolation prize for those seattle fans, christina?it is going to be nice out there. temperatures for today into tomorrow even wednesday above average, but this morning it is rather chilly out there. grab your coat, still feeling like wintertime in the morning hours and it feels like spring even late spring, early summer day in the afternoon with temperatures still running five to ten degrees above average but not just yet. we're at 46 degrees to kick off the day, the new day beginning in san carlo, 45 in oakland and this week looks really good we have quite a bit of rain on the way to the bay area. we want to show your temperatures at lunch time today as you make your way out of the office for a nice little break. temperatures in the mid-60s across the board and then by about 3:00 p.m. when our highs come in, we're talking about the low 70s. 72 degrees in the south bay, 70 degrees in the north bay and 71 degrees on the peninsula. so as promised, showers on the way, we'll tell you with and how much for where you live in my next report
