christina coleman is live in los angeles following the story for us. stina. >> bill: good morning. authorities say 40-year-old turner faces a total of 13 felonies in connection with the two protests that took place last year. the orange county district attorney's office said turn he helped organize the september 26 march for equality rally and that she deliberately drove into a crowd of counter protestors. seriously injuring a man who broke his leg and also accused of using a stun-gun on a counter protestor during that rally. she pled not guilty in the case and five other people are also facing criminal charges tied to the fights that broke out that day. now turner's latest charges stem from an august protest. she used a four-foot rod to repeatedly beat two men as they lay on the ground after being beaten by a group of protestors. this attack left one of the victims with severe injuries to his head that required staples. the district attorney says these were not peaceful protests and she faces a maximum sentence of 7 years to light and 26 years in state
