cbs's christina ruffini joins us from the white house. ina, you'll be on that trip, what should we expect? >> reporter: good evening, irika. the secretary of state will be going to doha, qatar, where he's going to thank the qataris forg0 afghan evacuees that came through that country. he's also going to be meeting with members of the state ramstein, germany. the u.s. and other world leaders are also grappling with how exactly to deal with the taliban. secretary blinken has said the u.s. will have to watch and evaluate base on the group's actions. but the women of afghanistan aren't waiting. many of them took to the streets this week, protesting the takeover. the taliban may not be the same as it was 20 years ago, but either are afghan women, and they want to make their voices heard. however, the demonstrations overnight were broken up by taliban special forces. meanwhile, we have seen a few planes take off and land at hkia, that's the airport in kabul. the taliban has been evaluating offers from several governments, including the qataris.
