. >> christine: i'm christine sperow. let's start this half hour with a look at first alert weather coming off another gorgeous day on tuesday. how will wednesday shape up for us? here is meteorologist al conklin. >> al: if you liked yesterday, you'll like today. starting off with temperatures in the mid 50s in charlotte. clear skies out there and that is our hd tower cam looking great. boone right now at 39, everybody else is pretty much between 50 and 55. 50 rock hill, 53 monroe, 55 morning hickory, newton, conover, 54 degrees. temperatures in the 50s this morning, then may be a little bit of cloud cover around early on, by the afternoon, another gorgeous one. mostly sunny skies, we stay warm, southerly breezes, 10 to 15-miles-per-hour, high of 78. one thing i wish we could get rid of would be the pollen. that is starting to add up, not much we can do until we get rain. that is what will cleanse the air. this isn't the yellow mustard pollen, this is the stuff you can't see and gives you a lot of problems with allergies,

. >> christine: good morning, i'm christine sperow. that bricking news, authorities investigating a deadly wreck on brookshire boulevard in northwest charlotte, it happened before 3:00 this morning right near 485. wbtv's ashton pellom has been live at the scene, he first broke the story on social media this morning. so ashton, any word what caused this wreck? >> reporter: hey, good morning, christine. police are still in the initial they do tell me the driver of a passenger car did run in the back of a dump truck, a trash truck, i should say, on brookshire boulevard. i'll step out of the way so you can see this is very much so an active investigation. we do have officers out here still on the scene, still investigating and what-not. take you to video i shot when the i first arrived on scene. this crash happened just before 3:00 this morning in the northbound lanes of brookshire boulevard, this is just after the on ramp to 485 inner, but just before the on ramp to 485 outer. so in between the stage. both these lanes are closed right now
