so chris christie, i think you saw today for the first time in the campaign, you saw chris christie'sunleashed. you saw why chris christie became a national phenomenal. i think chris christie did a lot of good tonight. i think that before this is over, chris christie is going to get a hard second look by a lot of these republican primary voters, probably in the state of new hampshire. >> are you telling me that chris christie has a problem with free media? this guy's entire career was built up on the fact that he gave the hard shoulder to a call-in radio host named gail when he said none of your business, gail. he knows how to play the media as good as anybody. >> when you hang the fastball over the middle of the plate, a guy like chris christie is putting it out into the bleacher evers time. and he took his swing of the bat. he put it in the bleachers. >> he's probably mad at us anyway generally. >> i think a key part is true for christie. the reality that he's now facing, remember, his star power diminished when trump got in the race. he was the guy who was outside the box. as trump

chris christie said why are we talking about fantasy football? you have isis running around and al qaeda and all these problems and we're talking about fantasy football. that was chris christie's best moment of the night without a doubt. it underscored how much jeb bush needs to improve his debate performance if he wants to continue in the race and if he will try to become the party's nominee. >> can we look at the numbers again? the numbers each candidate was allowed to speak or allowed to elbow in. >> managed to elbow in. >> carly fiorina, she did not have more questions. fiorina managed to get the most air time, if you will, last night. i wonder if she will capitalize it like the last time she was on the debate stage. >> i don't know she had a moment last night like she had in the second republican debate when she first made it to the main stage where she was really -- that was her moment last time and she galvanized supporters and pulled new supporters who are starting to get to know her. she is a new face. she ran for the senate in californi

christie had a good night. paul jumped in and tried to answer questions around taxes and other things. >> he was very serious. >> when he addressed the answer, there might be something to be said for not trying to -- one of the things you worry about is being perceived as a bully or blow hard. i thought he laid back and was pretty effective. >> as a front-runner, you're in better position to do that. >> i don't think donald trump did anything to hurt himself last night. i think he did a good job. and his camp will be very, very pleased. again, when you're the front-runner, someone has to knock you off your perch. i don't know that anybody knocked ben carson or donald trump off their perch. they had pretty solid performances for them. rubio i think moves up. >> all of them can't win. >> that's correct. >> and there's so many of them. >> right. i think carly fiorina had a decent night. she had a lot of airtime. she had a solid performance. i don't think she moved the chains any. the same could be said for a guy l
