( clears throat ) sorry. when it's on your mind, it's on ebay. >>> happening now, a major nurses strike is underway at bay area hospitals and in other parts of the state. kraig debro is at kaiser in oakland to talk about why some 53,000 nurses are walking off the job today. kraig. >> reporter: it all started with one very small nurses union, rather a union, not even a nurses union. here at howell and macarthur, the workers now are members of union called national unionized health care workers. so this is a scene repeated at nearly three dozen hospitals across northern and central california. they're like most of these hospitals, this one is one of few peoples you'll see optical and behavioral health care workers. only 1600 strong here in the bay area, this massive strike involving 21,000 nurses started with the smallest of unions. union and strikes are just about money and any more these days, and this was no
