let's bring in kristen welker now in for chuck todd this morning as moderator of "meet the press." good morning to you. >> hi, hallie, great to see you. >> you where, too. listen, we know vladimir putin would use whatever necessary in ukraine, whatever he needed to win. take off your "meet the press" moderator hat and putin your chief correspondent hat. what are you hearing from the administration on the level of concern on this front? >> the level of concern is incredibly high, and we heard that from president biden himself this past week, the closed door fund-raiser. he told democrats he was concerned about a the possibility of a nuclear armageddon for the first time since the cuban missile crisis, so the question is what happens next. the administration is so concerned, hallie, because they worry putin feels increasingly cornered even those in his inner circle starting to break with him. and so will he lash out with a nuclear attack? the press secretary was asked about this. she made it very clear they have not assessed russia has made a final decision, but they say they're taki

. >> chuck todd is nbc's political director and moderator of "meet the press." it's good to see you. i mention georgia already seeing record early voting. clearly lots of enthusiasm for these mid-terms elections, and i don't want to give too much away from "meet the press," but i know you have a new poll you're about to rollout that shows 70% of voters in these mid-term elections, 7 out of 10 are enthusiastic. so the question is who does that favor? >> when you look inside the numbers, willie, i can tell you right now it favors republicans. there's about a 9 point advantage. republicans are actually sitting at 78% when it comes to interest in this election. democrats sitting at 69%. on its own that 69% for democrats is astonishing. it's more than what was -- what it was in 2018. but the republican numbers even more so. you know, when you look at this poll, willie, i can't help but go back a year ago and we were having this debate, hey, is the virginia governor's race a bellwether, is it going to foreshadow what the mid-term looks like? and when i look at our pol
