let's talk about the significance behind the questions being asked right now of cindy anthony. >> wellsignificant to the defense's theory because the defense really maintains that caylee was not murdered by casey anthony, rather, she decide accidentally in the pool that we are seeing the pictures of. they maintain that caylee walked up these very steps by herself when george anthony and casey anthony were home and then drowned. they also say that george anthony found the little girl dead in the swimming pool and then said to casey anthony, your mother is going to be so upset with you and so the relationship between casey anthony and cindy anthony is very crucial, not only for the prosecution, but also for the defense and that is why we are seeing so many pictures of this pool because the defense wants this jury to believe that caylee could have walked up these stairs by herself. >> all right. let's listen once again to the trial and then i have a couple of more questions for you, sunny. >> once i made it to the other side and got my feet in the water, it was usually okay for her to sta

. >> her mother, cindy anthony, also took the stand this week.t was some of the most emotional testimony that anybody has seen. they brought her up so they could play the 911 tapes or even her mother, cindy anthony, calls to say, i haven't seen my granddaughter in 31 days, the car smells like a dead body. she broke down on the stand. what do you think this does for casey's case? >> well, it clearly hurts her because the jury is watching the dichotomy between a loving grandmother who literally falls apart on the stand and then they look over to the defendant who barely has a tear in her eye. so it's a smart strategy. but it's a reality that i think the prosecutors expect to see from the grandmother. and, again, it bolsters this idea that casey anthony is guilty of this murder, no doubt about it. >> and richard, i see you shaking your head. i understand you're saying that you don't think the prosecution is making their case so far. there's a long way to go. we'll have to see. let's turn to the man known now as the butcher of bosnia, ratko mladic. i think they're going to get caught up in it. >> beth, i have to ask, before cindy anthony was on the crying very believable. now that it is the defense's turn, is she a believable, credible witness now as you're watching people in the courtroom? >> i've always believed that cindy and the rest of the family are not going to help the prosecution any more than they did in the beginning. cindy was crying when the 911 tapes were being played. she didn't know when she was making those calls that her daughter was going to face murder charges. those were helpful calls. and some of the early statements to the police, early on in the investigation when they consent to everything being searched and the police didn't have to get search warrants, they didn't know where this was going. so that stuff is in the case. they're a part of it, and it's helpful to the prosecution and now they're going to step back and do whatever they can to save casey because they've already done enough. they're not at fault for doing what they did for sure. it was necessary. but right now, the only people in that courtr

cindy anthony, casey's mother, is on the stand. she just took the stabbed.bout a desktop computer in the home. let's listen in for just a bit here. >> i started looking at chlorophyll, and i was concerned about my smallest yorkie. we have two yorkie puppies, and the smallest one was having some issues where she was extremely tired all the time, and both of the dogs would eat the bamboo leaves out in the back, so i started looking out sources from the backyard that could potentially cause her to be more sleepy than it would affect the larger dog, so i started to look up chloroform -- i mean, chlorophyll, and then that prompted me to look up chloroform. >> now, i -- i don't understand how you could get those two mixed up. >> not getting them mixed up. if you look into chlorophyll, there's bacteria associated with chlorophyll production, and looking up that, it comes from different species of plants that have red and brown coloring, and that prompted me to look up chlorophyll because some species of algae and sea weeds and stuff produce naturally chloroform. >>

. >> reporter: it's been a grueling 30 days of trial for cindy anthony, who on one hand, is faced with defense lawyers who are painting her husband as a child me leolester. and on the other hand, seeing prosecutors paint her daughter as a baby killer. her breaking point came when she found out little caylee was missing. >> i overheard her tell lee that caylee had been gone for 31 days. >> reporter: prosecutors turned from emotion to forensics. introducing pieces of casey's trunk, sealed in canisters for three years. investigators said they contained the smell of death. which her defense team shot down as junk science. >> sir, the testimony that you've given here today is the first time that you have given this type of testimony in a court of law. isn't that correct? >> yes. >> reporter: but the forensic evidence kept coming. a strand of hair believed to be caylee's that showed signs of decomposition. again, the defense called foul. >> that one hair is still something that you cannot say came from a dead person. >> i can't say absolutely that that's the reason the charact characteristic

i helped raise her. >> when you see cindy anthony fall apart on the stand. she cannot even hold herself up physically, her body is racked with sobs, they are victims too. whenever you think of them, whatever they did or didn't do to help the investigation, these are grieving grandparents. they raised that little girl. she lived in hire house. that beautiful little 2-year-old girl singing, you are my sunshine, that's their baby. >> jim cle meanty, you worked on this case. i know there are certain things you cannot reveal about it. but what do you think of casey anthony and where do you think this will end? >> that is for the jury to decide in the end. she is innocent until proven guilty. however when you look at her leading her parents, investigators on a wild goose chase. looking up chloroform. the incredible lies that she told. false job. false nan nanny. false allegations of child abduction. the hair and smell in her car. all those things are very, very damming. but her behavior screams out, her behavior during this entire time, screams out it is consisten
