jeanette: right now jummy, we're off of backlick road here in annandale near cindy lane. and according to witness we talked to a woman who lived near fairfax hospital. she's a nurse at fort belvoir hospital not too far from here. she got in her car remember this is near where that inmate escaped. near that hospital. she was driving along this road here behind me on backlick road when a man popped up in her back seat and tried to get her attention. now, she was startled understandably so and lost control of the car. you can see the tire marking there chipped off the side of the sidewalk and traveled about 30 yards or so. take a look at the tire imprints on the grass. she managed to avoid this tree fortunately. but she did slam right into this car here. that's the car of the home owner here and let me show you something. look at that damage. how significant it is. the only thing left of that car that slammed into it is this piece of it. it's a silver toyota camry. that suspect took off with that. we managed to talk to the home owner here and he said the woman was screaming

we spoke to the man who lives at the home at cindy lane, that is where the car was crashed. here's what he has to say. >> well, we talked to that gentleman a short time ago, and he was thankful that no one was hurt in that situation. he ran out of the car. shortly police will [indiscernible] . [ audio soft ] >> this has come to an end. back to you. >>> this all began about 9 hours ago. and we're in the fair faction hospital. she joins us in the hospital with more. they're breathing a sigh of relief at fair faction? >> yes, everything is getting back to normal here at the hospital. it's a slately different scene than what it was earlier this morning. we got there just after 3:30 and the hospital was on lockdown, this started as an active shooter investigation where that suspect wossen assaye overpowered a security guard, shots were fired and it immediately went on lockdown. this is a very large hospital, police were going from room to room searching for that suspect. during the lockdown no one was allowed in or out of this hospital. they caught several police waiting to get t

been talking to for the past hour about the carjacking that ended not too far from here, back near cindy lanecked, telling me that she was absolutely hysterical. bill: i opened up at around 6:35 and about 35 minutes later she came running in, saying someone help me, please call 911. she was hyperventilating. i try to figure out what her emergency was just gone down, tell me your emergency. she told me that someone popped up from the back seat of her car and scared her and then she ran her car into a parked car on cindy lane. jeanette: you were telling me that she was a nurse at the hospital. she got into her car in the driveway and did not notice anything out of the ordinary and you were able to put two and two together. >> correct. i asked her with direction are you coming from and she said the nearby fairfax hospital. she told me that she was backing up her car ended not see like anyone in the mirror and as she was coming down here, someone popped up and scared her. from what i could make of it she was on her way to work. jeanette: thank you so much. build. ladies, that was just one of the
