time now to check in with cinthia pimentel for a look at our microclimate forecast.like it will be a nice weekend, you say we're wrapping up standard time getting into some more sunshine after this week. so let's go ahead and take a look outside. it is mostly clear we are looking at those 30s though. through dublin santa rosa. we are looking at those low 40s from mountain view down into san jose. so a clear start for all of our morning errands. we look out there towards oracle park. yes, it's almost baseball time, but not quite. we are looking at the giants fan fest though today. wrapping up there in san francisco looks like a great time to be out there, so enjoy it. the temperatures there in the low 60s right by the water. we are looking at a day where we get a little bit more mild for our weekend going into those 64 degrees right there through the napa valley, 68 out there in dublin might hit 70. i'll watch that later on this afternoon, right here in downtown san jose. pretty much the same for our sunday. now, speaking of sunday and what i wanted you to do ahead of

it is march 1st and cinthia pimentel has a quick look at our microclimate forecast. along with the new month comes new weather. we had such a warm week and now a big cool down. yeah, our little fling with spring is over. we are cooling it down this weekend. we see those low clouds and fog returning san bruno mountain. there's storm ranger. it's going to be busy later on today as we get some more moisture in here. breezy out there towards walnut creek and those mid 40s. and down here in san jose. some low 50s with those low clouds. also a gloomy morning, a chance to sleep on in. so we'll feel that cool down along wh some peeks of sunshine. a chance to get outdoors today later on this afternoon. but there is some spotty rain that's going to come into the picture as we go on into dinner time. continuing into our sunday plans, and even on into next week. our first full week of a brand new month. i'll be back with those details. give you the timing of it all coming up in about 15 minutes. kira cinthia, thanks. we want to begin with breaking news. this morning. an airplane

we're going to turn now to the microclimate forecast with cinthia pimentel. good morning.ng myself and kira too. so let's give you some good weather to celebrate all of the women in your life. richmond-san rafael bridge toll plaza. looking good. i always love driving across it and looking at the bay both ways. we are looking at those low 40s. once you start to enter there into cocoa county. some 30s though, as you make your way down into the valleys. 36 in dublin, with those 30s continuing up there in marinwood to some low 40s from palo alto down into downtown san jose. so expect a lot of sunshine for this weekend. remember, tomorrow daylight saving time begins. we spring forward, we lose an hour of sleep, but we get those later sunsets. as we go on into next week, we are going to start off dry, but then take a major shift as we go on into the middle part of the week. i am tracking an atmospheric river, so we'll talk about what the timing of that looks like right now and what's ahead for the rest of that weekend. outlook coming up in about 30 minutes. kira back to you. all

i'm kira klapper cinthia pimentel has a quick look at our microclimate forecast. and you warned us the rain was on its way. it was pouring on my drive this morning. i know we've seen some pockets of heavy rain this morning as that front starts to push on through. it's a great start right now through fremont anand the south bay. picking upn that light rain storm. ranger, our mobile doppler radar is busy this morning. tracking everything is close to the ground as possible, so let's give it a closer look. here we are seeing a break there through the north bay. i think some runners are getting ready for the napa valley marathon. that activity here it is picking up from san francisco down into parts of san mateo, over on into hayward. what i wanted to show you down here in the south bay is, yes, some light showers, but also we're looking at those pink colors, maybe some specks of snow, as those temperatures are much colder aloft, which could bring a chance of some thunderstorm activity as we go through the early morning hours. a break through the middle part of the day

cinthia pimentel joins us with a quick look at our microclimate forecast. hey good morning kara.fo. those showers passing through midday. i showed you that san mateo camera. well, about five minutes ago. when we see that rain pushing on through. it is still pretty heavy though, as you are waking up in livermore. that activity has passed on through into the altamont pass down in through sunol. we see those showers starting to pick up as you make your way along the peninsula southern half of redwood city into san jose. and those showers that have just popped up through parts of the bay view, pushing on through parts of berkeley and those spotty showers that continue up into the north bay. so it's hit or miss as we wake up this morning. people are getting ready for the napa valley marathon, halmarathon and five k. it starts at seven this morning. you'll feel maybe a couple drops on your head, but some people like that kind of running weather, and that's really the only activity i see there. as the race gets underway. the second half of the mid morning hours, once you're done with al
