i also want to thank treasurer cisneros, supervisors campos, wiener, and all the others who called and asked what they could do for us. san francisco pride has had a strong relationship with the city. i also want to recognize former supervisor dufty who has been with us in the past and is currently with us now. [applause] i would like to express my gratitude to our fellow board members. we have a lot of new board members. i am so proud of all of you. our treasurer, dale hemminger. joshua smith has been with us for years. the board secretary, our new board members. [applause] this year marks the 45th anniversary of san francisco pride. we continue to create diversity and march in the street parades. this year we will be focusing on our youth. pride is at the forefront of protecting the lgbt youth and fighting against bullying. our committee has continued to fight since last year. we had a big treat with don't ask, don't tell. a federal judge overturned proposition 8. we continue to fight hiv and aids for our committee. the theme this year "in pride we trust," many ask how we could have

cynthia cisneros with our station ktrk in houston is inside the davey rocket national forest tonight, that's just outside of dallas. cynthia, i know you are battling the high temperatures. we appreciate this. what is the situation inside the park right now? >> reporter: by the numbers, it seems to have gotten worse. 14,000 acres on fire yesterday. 15,000 acres on fire today. however, the texas forest service saying they have gone from 20% containment to 40% containment today. that largely has to do with the amount of manpower that is out here. at least 12 fire departments, half a dozen helicopters capable of dropping about 500 to 600 gallons of water each onto this fire. the grass is extremely dry, like a tinderbox out here. all of these contributing factors to make this fire go even farther. >> all right, cynthia, thanks to you. we want to move next to new mexico, and anna velasquez in santa fe tonight, reporting in on the speed of the fires spreading there. anna. >> reporter: that's right, david. take a look at the smoke behind me. that's from the wildfire, a fire burning nine miles
