and a safe city. so that was really good news. so we plan to be fully deployed this weekend for fleet week and invite people to come to the city to have a great time on to crime trends. we are still down 32% overall in crime. this this year. that's about a 13,000 reduction in overall crimes or property crimes at 34%, down about a 12,000 crime reduction. a little over 12,000 violent crimes are down 14%. and that is about a 600 fewer crimes than this time last year. violent crimes led by homicides. there is a 42% reduction, 42 last year compared to 24 this year, although that number will go down just a little bit. we had an incident today that stemmed from a august incident in which the person died today. so that incident will the medical examiner has determined that a homicide so that'll bring us up to 25, which is still significantly below this time last year. and actually it's lower than it's been this time of year for the last five years. so we're on a really good pace there. homicide clearance rate
