we had this sort of central core of the city, within the city limits. just after he finished, the city starts requiring the -- acquiring these neighborhood surrounded in green on the north and south sides of the city. they were back to do another supplement a plan which expanded the original plan. you see these large sweeping boulevards that are connecting the large parks throughout the city. then, the small parks are distributed throughout that expanded area. again, this is lake washington. elliott bay on puget sound surrounding the city on this side. seattle gets a much larger parks system that they then proceed to develop after that 1908 plan. this time, they are able to pass several bond issues and fund quite a bit of construction. in 1910, they invite john olmsted again to do a playgrounds report. this located and provided guidance, you see them here, truly spectacular. terrifying to a mom. but, these are for the older kids. places that have field houses and ballfield for older kids where they can't break out windows and surrounding houses. the ini
