business leaders met with the police chief district attorney's office in the city council member sharing their stories and frustrations because of the lack of resources and lack of response. take those that are committing these crimes feel like they have a free ticket. the police chief says a big problem is a lack of staffing currently are staffing numbers, 695 officers we. but 55 of those positions were frozen in the in the city's budget process who we just don't have enough resources to actually respond to all of the needs of our community. the chief says victims really should make sure that they filed police reports because it helps police return stolen items if they are recovered and also helps them know where the data points are where they need to allocate those resources. also they say that they are trying to offer some overtime shifts on the weekend so that people can have more patrols. out at those critical times. but andre really, this is just the beginning of the process. they say they want a lot of dialogue, communication to try and find some solutions. yeah, well, it's not go
