city city so this deal could prevent a major humanitarian crisis but details are still unclear including exactly where in islam. this saves would be. the promise from ridge of thai air to one and let him have putin it live will be a safe haven they'll be no bitter battle for control of the last rebel held province in syria. hootin an heir to one of agreed to set up a demilitarized zone by mid october they say russian and turkish troops will patrol a buffer strip between syrian government forces and rebels. but. we both agree that implementation of the plan steps will give a new amount into the process of resolving the syrian conflict politically allowing work to intensify on an international solution and it will contribute to peace returning to syrian soil. russia and turkey both have direct strategic interests in syria moscow has strongly backed syria's president bashar assad's regime with troops on the ground but turkey too has intervened in the syrian conflict carving out a zone of influence near its border in recent days turkey has increased its military presence in the region the risk of a confrontation between russia and a nato ally over it live grew as fighting increased. a low have you. sensed the beginning of the month dozens of people have been killed and wounded in air raids and attacks by the syrian government and the russian air force reports from it live have been growing increasingly dire with more and more people fleeing to turkey. there's always the sound of war planes and there are attacks on many areas and. people can't sleep because of the air raids all day and night. but now two of syria's major players have pledged an end to the killing and led. but they still have to ensure the deal is honored. so could distil become a reality correspondent yulia harness for us and hawkeye that's right on the turkish border with syria is this agreement what people. have been hoping for. well actually be are right at the international border crossing between syria's a province and turkey so the huge gates behind me that you can see behind that is a province people over there that's what we here have been bracing for the worst in recent weeks and days for a massive attack by the assad government and its russian allies now it seems the agreement between turks present add on and russian president putin has delayed such an offensive but it's not clear right now whether it has entirely prevented it so for people in italy if it's like a glimmer of hope for the three to four million civilians over there trapped over there with nowhere to go we were able to speak with people on the turkish side. former evil of residents people who fled before talking turkey closed its borders they still have relatives over there in it live and they told us this is a big step into the right direction that might save many many lives but others also tell us they're really skeptical whether russia whether the assad regime as they call it will stick to the deal will keep the deal so people here feelings are very mixed and it's not clear how this whole negotiations at these this agreement will play out on the ground ok as far as all the skepticism how much of it should this deal become reality will be safe for civilians. well you know there is very conflicting information out there right now turkish t.v. channels report that this demilitarized zone will basically be like a circle around city the major city in its lip province extending fifteen to twenty kilometers it will be a demilitarized zone so happy to have the weapons have to be withdrawn rebel fighters a jihadist groups will have to withdraw obvious sources say this demilitarized zone will start at the turkish border and then extend into it live province which essentially means it live city will be left for the assad government so right now i can give you a very clear picture we are waiting for a first official map to give us a clearer picture of the situation and how this. demilitarized zone deescalation zone will in fact look like ok you know. what does this deal for turkey and for president richard. for him first of all it means a diplomatic success he was the one who when convinced president putin not to have this not to force this major offensive turkey of course has geopolitical interests in syria it wants to sell a longer term presence over there it wants to be part of negotiations over syria's future but fo

what the borders are? i challenge anyone to tell me what they are. where are the borders of the state of israel? map and show me a me where are the borders of israel? this racist law constitutes a another stigma on israel and anyone who consents to it and condones such acts, this law is just like other israel he laws -- israeli laws that legislate theft of property and funds of the palestinian people. we have always fully and positively engaged with the various initiatives in the international community that engage with israel, including the arab peace initiative. we continued on this path with the administration of president trump, from the start of his tenure with the same positive engagement. we welcomed his launching of the initiative of peace. i have met with him numerous times. we awaited his initiative with utmost patience. we were shocked by his decisions and actions that completely contradicts the rule and commitments of his administration to the peace process. in november 2017, his administration issued a decision . to close the plo office and washington, d.c.. he announced his recognition of jerusalem as the capital of israel and transfer his -- and transferred hishe even boasts ts refugees settlement and security of the negotiation table. all such decisions threaten the national cause and constitute an assault on national law and u.n. resolutions, it went even further in its assault by -- and palestinian hospital in occupied in jerusalem. then they are speaking about humanitarian aid. even humanitarian aid has been cut off. with all of these decisions, this administrations has a renege on all reviews u.s. commitments and revealed its claims of concerns about humanitarian decisions of the palestinian people. it is ironic that the administration talks about what they call the deal of the century. what is left for the ?dministration only humanitarian solutions? when they remove from the andtiation table jerusalem security what is left of the political solution? the u.s. congress continues to insist on considering the palestine liberation organization, which is recognized as the sole representative of the palestinian people. as a terrorist organization, and plo islow -- the recognized by israel but the isgress claims that the plo a terrorist organization at a time when it cooperates with the majority of the countries of the world including the united states, to combine terrorism, then why is this animosity against the palestinian people who are suffering under the yoke of an occupation supported by the united states. we would like to tell them our positions are firm and clear, for all to see and we challenge you if we have committed a single mistake in our long journey. however, this comes out of the blue to say that the plo is a terrorist organization. how come the shimmer --? have asserted to establish a palestinian american committee. as a means of proving to them that the plo is committed to achieving peace and combating terrorism as well as to also that the legislation regarding unlawful and unjustified and deliberately it was the official agreement with the u.s. installation -- administration. an agreement which we have concluded with 83 other countries. we have protocols with 83 ofntries under the title combating terrorism including the u.s. they call us terrorists. in spite of this and run this trust platform, i renew my call to president trump to rescind his decision regarding jerusalem, refugees and settlement which contravenes with international law and resolutions as well as the understanding that we have reached in order to fund the prospects of peace and achieve stability for future generations. way, this is an example of those underpinnings. this is a letter signed by the u.s. administration between the u.s. administration and palestine regarding all these causes that are now just ignore. ladies and gentlemen, consistent with our commitment to of the two state solution and negotiations to achieve them we have never refused and i do to tell me about anything where we refuse to come to the negotiation table, to the contrary, we have been in fight to more than once by more than one country here and they told us -- they invited us to sit with netanyahu and every time i accepted. i challenge you to tell me that i have refused once, or if they have, on the other hand, accepted once. we have never refuse a negotiation during the peace process. i came before the security council on the 20th of february this year and presented an initiative calling for the convening of an international on , andelevant u.n. solutions the internationally endorsed parameters. such should involve international participant tatian -- participation. show take this initiative in its entirety to you and hope you will support it. i reiterate that we are not against negotiations in the least as we have never rejected negotiations on any single day and we will continue to extend our hands for peace. we only believe in peace. peace is the only path. we don't believe in terrorism and violence. we spared no occasion to reiterate this belief. if you are speaking about you -- you and resolutions, these we sparedresolutions, not a sine has been respected by israel and you are speaking about negotiations and solutions are at work kind of missions. with all holy sites, some people try to outsmart a spirit. words. a manipulation of this means here or there or whichever region -- no. not in east jerusalem. don't try to outsmart us. we cannot choose an area here or there. no. this is our capital. there is no peace otherwise. ofy invented this idea temporary borders. ish unknown borders, this like israel. it is a state with the norm borders. no. well-defined borders. then we can coexist with the israelis. otherwise, no. 183 states plus another country that has recognized us, columbia. i will continue and this will come in my speech. i call upon all the countries of the world to acknowledge .alestine i can no longer see a convincing region -- reason why some countries. i should draw your attention to the fact that in 2009 the state of palestine -- in 2019 the chairof palestine will --. 10 minutes ago, i met in another president --om at announce that we have been freely elected by 134 countries to chair the group of 77 and china. nevertheless, there are some countries -- we recognize both countries or maybe we recognize israel but not palestine. if you claim that you recognize the two states and recognize israel but you are not recognizing palestine, what is your interests? this is unacceptable and we tell these countries, yes, you have to recognize palestine. that we willmean not go for negotiations, on the contrary. this will bolster our international position and we will be able, with your support, .o go to negotiations this recognition should not be unilateral. you should not only recognize one state and not the other. no, you have to recognize both states. ladies and gentlemen, i would like to remind you again that israel has not implemented any one of the hundreds of general assembly resolutions. there are 705 resolutions issued by the general assembly since 1947 up to date. security council resolutions since 1948 to date. not a single resolution has been implemented by israel. i would like to be very frank and honest. israel is bolstered by the u.s. because the general assembly when we asked them they just asked them they agree. they gave us 100 empty nine 42 abstained. those who opposed were only four israel will act with impunity until when?
