we have moved over to city hall. watch as people have been streaming in to that area, drum lines started showing up. there are two different drum lines that have joined the part here. they've led this group through the streets to this area here at city hall and you can see just straight ahead, they're too crowded for us to walk through, anderson. the drummers are just ahead here. out here is an almost mickey mouse costume. people celebrating and one of the things we are hearing from people out here is the relief that they feel from what happened, finally, a decision with the call on the fact that joe biden is the next president and that's the relief that they have been dealing with. and we have seen it all throughout philadelphia. the streets of philadelphia here in downtown certainly are filled with people celebrating, carrying signs and flags. when we pet before at the convention center, there was a group of trump supporters. there was some tension there. it was all peaceful, so now, everyone here continuing to cel

so through the 19th century, this is city hall. the second floor of the building would hold meetings at philadelphia city council until 1895, but the first floor is probably one of the first places in the united states that becomes a historical place. so by the 1820s, '30s, '40s and probably this room was independence hall before the whole building became independence hall and one of the famous early incidences, the marquee de la fayette after the revolutionary war and you're talking the 1820s. we have a very few of the founding fathers from the soldiers that are left and every town that lafayette visits you gather everybody like thomas jefferson and john adams that's still alive and they get together and they celebrate lafayette. so it's this wonderful sort of exclamation of patriotic memory and it's probably one of the first times that we're really kind of looking at embracing our history and that's the same time period when people started to be able to purchase their copies of the declaration of independence where they're celebr
