i've always lived in clacton. my family are from clacton. anywhere else really. like my dad could never venture out of clacton without having a nosebleed. he is literally born and bred, and he's very proud of that. the pier and the beaches are probably our biggest competitors, because why do you want to be sat inside on a sunny day when you can be out sitting on the pier, having a drink or relaxing on the beach? it's absolutely manic along here. i try and avoid it at all costs, being a local. in the summer, people flock to this area, as you can see now, it's busy now. that was shut down, sold off, and that's now been converted into flats. so does that worry you, that? yeah, because you know, that could be us. i used to live in a railway terrace block of six overl the other side of car park. i was a guard. i lived at number five and a driver moved . in number six, seemed the natural thing - to come in here and drink with. and there'll be . a big crowd of us in here and it's just total fun. i you know, we'll have a drink and a laugh . and it's
