but where does this stand right now, claire mccaskill?of all, i don't think the impeachment has really risen significantly with the exception of donald trump. there's never been a president like donald trump. you sit in a criminal courtroom right now, that's never happened before. we don't have time today to list all of the things that donald trump has done as president and as the former president that had never been done before. so, yes, there were two impeachments during the trump administration. there was one impeachment while i was in the senate for 12 years, and that was a judge who was convicted. and he was delaying leaving the bench because he wanted to collect his pension. he was stalling and insisting on a trial. i don't think impeachment necessarily is going to be the norm. i certainly hope the democratic party doesn't follow this example and try to use impeachment as a political performance as opposed to a serious matter of substance. i would like to believe that would not occur, and frankly, if the democrats did that, the repu

claire mccaskill, what are you imagining? you were talking about how you were involved in an impeachment for a judge, which we should say across the course of history, impeachment is very rare, and the majority of them, more than any other position, there have only been two cabinet members, this is the second, most of them are judges. what do you imagine the mood is on that floor right now? >> it depends on who you are. if you're a democrat, you're thinking what a waste of time. for a lot of the republicans they probably think that too se secretly. the reason it's important for everyone to be at their desk and i think the reason schumer will do his very best to keep everyone at their desk is they want to give the republicans time to raise points of order because they didn't agree to a time set for them all to have a chance to actually just get up and debate the issue, and these votes will go much more quickly if everyone's at their desk. one of the most frustrating parts about being a senator is the notion that a 15-minute vo

senator claire mccaskill. she and jennifer palmieri are co hosts of the podcast, "how to win 2024." re, i want to tap into your prosecutor skills, and ask what you thought about day one and two of jury selection. are you surprised at the pace that this is going? >> no, this is a judge who has tried a lot of criminal cases. none like this, obviously. but he's marching everyone quickly towards jury selection. but i just want to say this, and i hate to say it out loud, but i'm really worried about a stealth juror. i don't think that donald trump will be acquitted. but he could easily have a hung jury. all it takes is one. all someone has to do is say they can be fair when they're saying in their head, i don't have to be fair. i'll make sure this jury doesn't convict donald trump. stealth jurors happen all the time, they are not honest about their ability to set aside bias, and hear the evidence as it comes in. but i think it could be a problem in this case. there's nothing you can do in jury selection to ferret that out and get to the bottom of that. >> you mentioned the judge is moving
