62-year-old male charged in montgomery county with, the shooting deaths of malcolm winfall and claudina molinaemale. in addition to the two counts of first-degree murder, our defendant has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and four separate charges of use of a gun or a firearm during the commission of a felony. it should be noted that our homicide detectives as well as those in prince george's county have been working through the night and through today on this case and they continue to work on it now. late or early this morning, late last night a search warrant was served on the defendant's vehicle, resulting in the recovery of a .40-caliber glock handgun. using ballistic analysis that handgun has been confirmed as the same firearm that was used in the shootings at montgomery county mall and at aspen hill yesterday morning. further analysis is going to be needed to confirm that that is indeed the handgun that was used in prince george's county, but my detectives as well as our scientific experts here on the police department believe that is a very strong and real possibility th
