the deadly explosion could change how buildings are built near natural gas lines. claudineus with word of a list that could be released today. >> reporter: good morning. yes, we are expecting that list of the top 100 high-risk area of pipeline to be released today. so we tracked down the mayor of san jose this morning. because we wanted to ask him what he was told by pg&e about this list. and about two intersections in san jose that are apparently on that list. he said basically, his staffers got a heads up yesterday that they were on the list. but other than that, he did not get a lot of information. and he, like the rest of us, is waiting for more information this morning. now, mayor reed says the staffers were told by pg&e that there are two intersections on the list. one is at first and tasmin. and another intersection is near the border of san jose and milipitas. now, that first and tasmin intersection, what we've learned about that one is that it is scheduled for repairs in 2012. but we're not clear what those repairs are. and we're not sure if being on this list mean

and the deadly explosion could change how buildings are built near natural gas lines. in the meantime, claudine wong is joining us with the less of closures today. >> reporter: the question everyone keeps asking is, could this happen again? pg&e has been ordered by the p.u.c. to come up with a risk of high- risk pipelines, and that list could be released as early as today. we're at the intersection of tazmin and first. they are reporting that could have one of these high-risk, natural gas pipelines. we can show you the site over here. we know there is a pipe here. because there is a sign warning people not to dig here because of this gas pipeline here. how at risk this intersection is, though, we just don't know. san jose's mayor said that he has been told that this intersection, as well as another near the city's border is milipitas, have been deemed high-risk areas. but it doesn't appear that pg&e is releasing a lot. though it does appear that they'll be meeting with city leaders in the coming days. they want this list out. we know that fremont, south san francisco and livermore are already d

claudine. >> reporter: good morning, pam. yes, up until now voters have seen a lot of ads from whitman and brown but they've never seen these two candidates face off. that changes today in just hours with the first ever gubernatorial debate between whitman and brown. not one in five california voters are still undecided. certainly candidates are hoping to change the minds that brings people to their side today. the first debate traditionally pays a lot of attention because it's the one that they pay attention to. the debatelasts an hour. two very different candidates with very different styles. we just spoke with the dean of academic affairs and law professor. he says this debate is about getting to know more. >> people don't know her because they've only seen her in scripted ads. in brown's case i think jerry brown is a different person than he was when he was governor earlier. and even when he was mayor of oakland i think he does have a maturity he might not have had early in his career. so he wants to convey that so people can see he's trustworthy. >> reporter: there are some things we expect according to analysts expect to see whitman try to label brown as
