claudine? >> reporter: they have changed operations now that they have this fire out and you can see firefighters are up there. they were able to determine that the floor was still structurally sound and they were able to go and clear things out but there is no roof and that's completely gone, destroyed by this fire. if you look down at the bottom level, you can see fire damage but the fire started on either the second or third floor of this building. what you are looking at is a lot different of a situation than what we saw because when we got here flames were coming out of the roof. firefighters initially were on top of the roof but they had to get down because it got too dangerous. over the next hour we saw them dumping water from several different directions and finally they were able to get ahead of this fire. we did speak with neighbors and they say it did get them out of bed. >> are you worried about your home at this point? >> i am worried about all this smoke, it is making me a little nauseous. >> you can see the smoke is gone and the fire is out and we are in clean up mode. as far as ho

now the situation is changing by the minute and let's check in with claudine wong who has been out there all morning. claudine? >> reporter: you can see behind me yet another sheriff's haven't is backed up to this property on turk and got as they begin to bring protesters out. that one is out and i'm not sure why but it has been a steady stream and what they do is pull up a van, load it with protesters ride off and pull up the next van. you can see a large police presence in front of this building and here comes yet another couple of protesters outside of the building to be loaded into the van. it has not happened with any major incident, we have spoken with at least one protester who was not arrested and he said it has been calm and peaceful through the night and even this morning when police went in. they went in a little before 5:00 this morning after keeping an eye on the building all night long, the protester said everybody was asleep when it happened and here is what happened. >> we were totally sleeping. >> what was the first indication something was happening? >> well, when they
